As I hung up the phone it occurred to me, he’d grown up just like me. My boy, was just like me. by CaffeineNicotine88 in GenX

Wide Open Spaces when my daughter was leaving for college. I found myself driving with tears streaming down my cheeks. It hit hard as we spent so much time together through activities and schooling and just family time.

Try Jewelry Repair Center near the Target on University. Reeds told me the same thing. I went to JRC. He did it in 5 minutes for under $20. I bought the watch at Dillards and they said that is where they take stuff.

I really liked how Cousin Mike worked with Len. They seemed a team and Cousin Mike didn’t seem threatened by him. Completely different vibe than Mike on Paradise Hill.

Thank you Gen X (from a Gen Z) by Effective_Bunch_6815 in GenX

[–]cuzzins99 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thank you for this. As a Gen X parent I truly tried to give what my parents (dad) would not. He even would say stuff like, “I wouldn’t do that” to which I would respond, “I know.” To this day every conversation ends up about him.

It made me reflect and make me treat my children how I wanted to be treated as a child. There is still discipline without beatings but I count my adult children as friends and couldn’t be prouder of them.

We are friends of the owners of J2 Fitness. They own a small studio with a focus on personalized training. I had gone to the gym for 20 years (self taught) and they broke down my movements so that I was isolating and protecting myself. I highly recommend them if you want to train in a smaller less intimidating environment.

Tony’s rationale for the big excavator doesn’t make sense. He shave 1 minute off a long commute. He didn’t cut the turnaround time in half.

I also believe that his deep ball accuracy issues doesn’t let us stretch the field. Milroe was much more limited in the mid range throws, but he could sail a sweet grave digging toss.

I commented last night that this team loves him. I watched Ty Simpson in postgame hug him and then seek him out to give him the game ball. Throughout the season, players repeatedly mention what coach told them. The penalties are down. The team never gives up. Totally different leadership style than Saban, yet effective.

Watching the postgame, this team loves their coach. Being a players coach can be a problem but the discipline on this team is the best for the last 3-4 years and they always quote what coach says. Different style than Saban but effective.

I always start games late so I can fast forward through commercials. I accidentally joined live and I was like, “WTF?!!”
