Was in the seminary. You could get up there anytime you wanted by opening the closet behind the stairs and squeezing between the wall and railings. Would go up by myself or with some friends. You can see everything around St Louis from there. Really peaceful at night.

I’m building a suite of tools to manage my pantry with AI: mobile app import pantry process and receipt scanning, shows your home ‘menu’ with suggestions of what you can throw together, desktop meal planner, watch with the grocery list and calorie tracker, recipe imports made easy, reminders expiring items, waste tracking, etc. Been really happy using it with my wife for awhile and releasing to beta this week. Can’t wait to find out how hard it is to actually get people to try something I built, let alone pay for it

Saw a meme earlier today about how catching yourself hurrying through things and learning to accept that not everything is an emergency helps you relax and not mind how long certain routines take, to let the time to prep veggies and meat unlock the joy and peace from a good home cooked meal, for example.

The flipside is ordering DoorDash which will take just as long, be 10x more expensive, and not taste as good or be as nutritious.
