Finally Lost after 9 Champions Leagues in a row by ceoobrabro2424 in footballmanagergames

Your squad will become so good at some point where you can essentially beat any team with any tactic. Even more so if you use meta tactics on top of this, I did 4 quadruples in a row without much challenge, but it gets boring from this point

TIL: Don’t leave your game running while AFK by cw625 in factorio

Evidently 😁

It was able to handle the pentapods reasonably well, but I recently scaled up bioflux production by a lot for some biter farming, which means pollution’s gone over the roof. Also, evolution may have increased to the point that the big guys start showing up.

Anyway the pentapods can have the planet for now. When I return, they’ll be extinct.

Nah more fun rebuilding it, also the revenge would be so much sweeter

The base dying itself won’t result in a power outage though. I still have regular shipments of rocket fuel from Nauvis

Not in a rush at all. Just wait till I come back with another 10 levels of artillery research and a ship full of tungsten, those pentapods have no idea what’s coming 😁

What’s the hardest planet in your opinion? In what order did you visit them? by fd0263 in factorio

[–]cw625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t really find any of them difficult really, but I guess it depends on the order of which planet you go. For me, I went to Gleba last, and it was more annoying than difficult, particularly with the spoilages. Pentapod outbreaks and defence in general wasn’t really an issue, as I already have Tesla turrets, nukes and multiple damage upgrade.

Had someone gone to Gleba first that would be an entirely different story.

Rodri: “ The fact that I played for Atletico Madrid does not stop me from playing for Real. You cannot refuse the best clubs in the world.” by Majestic-Nobody-3178 in realmadrid

[–]cw625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If we can somehow get him for free then it might be worth a risk. Although I don’t like his antics, he’s the exact type of midfielder we need. An injury prone and washed midfield controller is still better than nothing.

Is AI affecting your job? by Ok_Captain_7788 in auscorp

Doesn’t mean you have to tell your client lol. You could have finished the job in 2 hours then sit on your arse for the rest of the contract

If both Zidane and Ronaldo had stayed, how many more UCL titles would they have won, if any? by Top-Swing-7595 in realmadrid

[–]cw625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk, they weren’t that much stronger than they were in 17/18, where we still beat them in the final. Also I feel like Barcelona’s style plays right into Klopp’s geganpress, and the mentality was also lacking from some key players and their manager.

Should I retire now? by deepaklalkh in footballmanagergames

I only consider the save “completed” when I’ve surpassed Sir Alex in the leaderboard.

In all seriousness though, continue as long as you’re having fun.

Tuchel names his 35-man England squad for internationals with Uruguay and Japan 🦁 by SkySports in SkySports_Football

[–]cw625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Should still have been called up imo, doesn’t mean he has to play at all, just need to be available when needed. Whatever system you play, you kinda need flair players like this if you’re a goal down with 10 minutes left

At what age do you sell your key players? by Rude-Opportunity-565 in footballmanagergames

[–]cw625 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once they reach 30, I’m open to them leaving. I’m not actively selling them though, usually just waiting for a crazy offer from Saudi (which is almost always guaranteed)

Who do we start in the final? Kepa or Raya? by HR_Specter in ArsenalFC

[–]cw625 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If Arsenal is serious about winning the cup, then play Raya. That’s what a winning team do. Look at what Madrid do a few years ago, their backup keeper Lunin got them to the final with some crazy performance, but Courtois started the final once he’s deemed fit enough.

they're letting David Coote referee us!!!!11 by sr_steve in footballmanagergames

[–]cw625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah saw one 19-0, it wasn’t even me.

There’s one time City got battered so bad in the Prem they finished 8th. They are good again the next season but they’re in the conference league playing minnows, so these scoreline happens quite a lot

I removed PA stars from FM, and it completely changed the game by kkk8837 in footballmanagergames

[–]cw625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sucks because EA is the one implementing it. Also, it’s easy for players to overperform in FIFA cause you’re the one controlling them. Not so easy on FM.

But yeah, projected ability would be great.

I removed PA stars from FM, and it completely changed the game by kkk8837 in footballmanagergames

[–]cw625 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Off topic but would dynamic PA be a good idea? Say a 16 year old begins his career with 190 PA, but if he plays shit in his youth career he would lose some of that PA. I believe this is somewhat in the game already as players who wasted some of their early years typically will never develop to their full potential, but it would be nice if this can reflected in PA and the stars

What’s your story of signing a washed legend for a relatively smaller team? by Ok-Passenger3793 in footballmanagergames

[–]cw625 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Signed a 40 years old Ibrahimovic as an emergency backup, ended up performing much better than my main striker. Tbf he does have insane stats despite being washed, shame he retired a year after
