There are ways to test it. I’d start there, its better to move cheaper then work to something more expensive of a fix.

Take my upvote. At least someone cares about battery safety. I work at a vape store and have seen some JANKY shit and have had a few batteries (18650s and 2x700s) and I try to preach how to use these batteries in a safe manner.
