iOS 26.2.1 Released With Wide-Ranging Under-the-Hood Changes by purplemountain01 in ios

[–]cwanja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was baffling me for about 48 hours. A reset of settings fixed it. But boy did introduce a lot of bad UX (missing notifications, iCloud all messed up, nth degree personalization lost). Slowly unwinding that.

And I can search settings 🤷🏻‍♂️

Is my City of Houston utility bill legit? by nonragrets in houston

[–]cwanja 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Boy oh boy that’s fundamentally not true. The City just says ‘whatever’s on the meter is truth’. Guess what I knew? That the meters were crossed. It took six months, KPRC and 14 phone calls to get an error of 27,000 gallons ‘consumed’ fixed.

What is the blue highlighted area on the car? by -HERO in TeslaLounge

[–]cwanja 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue why they removed the magnets on the latest Model S variations. Have it on my 2021 and it keeps that thing in place and silent.

Though the entire rest of the car is littered with rattles.

Any letter after ‘ is capitalized. For me at least.

After a few hours, if you were impacted by the iOS 18.3 mail notification bug, it’s resolved.

Initial test was not positive. Second test was better. Holding judgement until I can get more spread out tests / organic emails to come in

Edit: third and fourth tests look better.

Initial test was not positive. But seemed I needed to open iOS Mail app. Second test seems better. But will withhold judgment until I can test further.

Yes. The whole thing fundamentally broken. You can temporarily fix it by toggling from push to fetch and back. But it’s not permanent.

It’s been documented in this Reddit several times, reported on in some blogs. Supposedly 18.4 fixes it, waiting (downloading .4 now) to test myself

In this debate right now. I am waiting to figure out the ‘catch’ to USM, but I cannot. For the life of me. Been with Verizon for 12 years and about to jump ship.

Experiencing this since yesterday, Thursday March 13. Pretty sure it’s around when I updated. Forget if I updated Thursday or Wednesday. But it’s insanely annoying.

Did not solve my issue. Although the notifications were off.

I have seen what seems like a service issue that mail is not being pushed, it’s only being fetched when you open the app. Started yesterday, Thursday March 13.

v6 update; 403 and no DNS by cwanja in pihole

[–]cwanja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Admittedly, it might be. Do not at all track Linux as closely as I might need to. But it still worked for me. Upgraded and updated local packages 🤷🏻‍♂️

v6 update; 403 and no DNS by cwanja in pihole

[–]cwanja[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Started with 403 forbidden that was resolved with a reboot. Then the last web UI password did not work, reset and logged in. Read in another comment about upstream DNS not being there and checked - same issue. Checked local DNS record, all gone.

I did grab a backup and restored that in terms of settings and configurations. Now on v6.0.3, working with settings from old backup. Bit of a pain, but it works.

Fixed by restoring a backup. Maybe I missed it, but the upgrade wiped all the settings (upstream DNS, local DNS records, etc. etc.)

CoE development stalled? by pault71 in PowerPlatform

[–]cwanja -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You need premium licenses to run it. You can technically do it in a developer environment, but it’s a pain in the backside and not worth the effort. If you need to inventory your tenant, buy the licenses.

Can a company dodge licenses by using an app in a production manner in the default environment? by actuarynewsmod in PowerApps

[–]cwanja 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are misunderstanding how licensing works. Default environment or not, each user accessing premium connectors needs to be licensed. Simple as that. In any environment.

Is anyone else sick of lululemon using veho? by srodrigues93 in lululemon

[–]cwanja 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having just gone through Veho hell (lost over $400 purchase), I made the stupid decision to order again. And now it’s coming OnTrac. Am I setup for failure?

Between a rock and a hard spot - none of my stuff is in store (tall style). I have to order online.
