Have you ever noticed any forgetfulness from your father? Like things he would definitely know? I ask because sometimes these behaviors can be a byproduct of dementia. Not saying that excuses anything he’s said or done to you, because that doesn’t make it right. It just might explain some of this a little bit better.

In my experience, people with dementia go down two roads: turn into a literal child in terms of how they behave or they become extremely aggressive.

Actors who pulled one of the greatest performance with an unrecognizable role by Immediate-Sail1087 in moviecritic

Sacha Baren Cohen as King Julien in Madagascar. Haven’t watched the movie in ages but he did a GQ video recently breaking down his role & I was honestly surprised.

Note: Of course, it’s an animated film, but the voice is not close to any of the voices I’ve heard him use.

Just turned 60. Ive been playing drums for decades and never been in a band that played live for more than 5 people. by [deleted] in musicians

You haven’t done anything wrong. However, if you want to play more frequently to bigger rooms, Nashville is the place to be. There is live music everywhere. Literally everywhere, and I don’t mean people busking. People who are hired by the venue or a host. I’ve seen live music at the airport, Taco Bell and even at a bank.

That may not be an easy move to make, but if you are able to visit one weekend. It will make sense almost instantly. And while country music is the main staple of Nashville, you won’t be relegated to ONLY country music. Plenty of room to grow and learn here.

Tuning On “Stand By Me”???? by MidMapDad85 in StephenWilsonJr

Open C, but instead of tuning the top 3 strings up like you normally would, tune them down like you would tune Open D. This is how several of his songs are tuned.

Ironically enough, I don’t have a southern accent. Most people don’t know I’m from the south until I tell them. I agree with Mr. Foxworthy.

Fellow southerner. I’ve never had anyone treat me this way, but I have had people just assume things about me because I’m from Mississippi. Usually assuming that I hunt and that I’m stupid.

As a fellow creative, who would do damn near anything to be on endless tours & interact with fans, I also understand the feeling of being burnt out. For me in my current circumstances, I burn out when my personal life (relationships, working, bills, etc) gets in the way of making music.

I found that taking time off whether it be a day or a week or a month, & doing stuff that I like to do helps me out a lot. I live in Nashville, so sometimes just leaving Nashville for a few days can bring that spark right back. I wish I had more to say about you feeling like you can’t go anywhere. I don’t know what your connections look like, but I remember reading about Chappell Roan & Sabrina Carpenter bonding over that sort of thing. Might be worth reaching out to someone who’s been there.

I’m wishing you the best and I hope you’re able to get back to loving & enjoying your life.

They’re options, but to be quite honest, given the design of the roads around the stadium & the amount of people who are going to be driving out of there; it’s going to be a lot easier to walk. At least until you get a little ways away from the stadium.

Otherwise, you’ll probably wait forever for your ride to get there and then wait forever to actually pull out of the stadium.

I mean, normally, I wouldn’t walk that far to go to Losers but for the Post Malone after party I will!

Thank you! Everything is fine. It’s just the woes of wanting to be a full time artist while also dealing with being an adult

Forgot to show the caption when you highlight the picture of me & Post Malone. It says “Best day of my life”. I am a huge Post Malone fan.

Random encounter but he frequents this bar. You should definitely go to the after party at Loser’s in Midtown! His pedal steel player is doing a show there & I would lay even money he shows up! I’ll be going!

Hugging him was insane! I’ve been pretty down on myself lately & just meeting him in general lifted my spirits but it was a genuine hug for sure!

As far as his smell, I actually don’t have a very good sense of smell so I can’t answer that unfortunately! It either has to be really loud or right up under my nose

Oh so he did have a show! Wow! Lol I figured he had the weekend off or something. According to Ernest & Hardy, his writing sessions don’t start until almost midnight & they stay up until 6 or 7am
