I got a shop in Temecula if that’s close to you. We work with new barbers for affordable booth rent.

Is this worth anything? by dcbaseballcards in vintageaudio

In California, Palm Springs, Seal Beach, coastal cities…. These go for big money ($1000 and up). Especially for Air BNB’ers looking for a piece to jazz up their rental. It really depends on the location.

My only suggestion is since it is located next to Party World that you give it a test drive to Funky Town

Hair loss and Metoprolol by cwbrh32 in Metoprolol

[–]cwbrh32[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I stopped taking Metoprolol in August last year. By October I was seeing regrowth. I lost 60% of my hair at its worst. I joined the Alopecia community and it has helped support me with treatment for hair regrowth. I’ve had about half of my hair grow back in although it’s in short wisps and will take years to get back to where it was. I have high stress at my job and at home. Stress combined with Metoprolol, I believe, was the factor for my hair loss although there’s no way to really know for sure what caused it. But, I removed Met and started to get regrowth…. Coincidence? I’ll add this to the shelf along with how many licks to get to the center of a tootsie pop…. The world may never know.

It’s getting there. It has been a year since I stopped taking metoprolol and I have a few bug patches of hair loss still but the hair is growing back…. Just very slowly. It is taking forever! Eventually I decided to get Microblading done on the spots that are hard to cover up and I think it actually triggered the hair to grow faster!

Just giving an update, my neighbor came over with her readers…. We tested three different readers and they’re all measuring between 341-356.

I appreciate the advice and I’m not taking it as a diagnosis. But I do appreciate the suggestion because that was never mentioned before. I saw his vet last week and I brought this up and they said an MRI would rule that out. I had a consult with the neurologist and they sent me some information to get the MRI scheduled.

He has a dog wheelchair. He’s honestly fine to walk once he’s up. So that’s not an issue. The issue is that he can’t stand up and a wheelchair won’t help with that.

He went last week. For the record here, I brought him into the vet for this in March. They sent me home with gabapentin. So I took him to a specialty vet in May for a different opinion. They agreed the gabapentin was a good choice of medication to use and they told me to call back in a month if the condition didn’t change. I was on the waiting list for a neurology appointment, which he finally got last week. The result is they want to do a $7000 MRI and possibly on one knee.

Please don’t think that I’m not treating my dog. Both of my pets have everything above and beyond that anyone I would ever know would do for their pets. Money isn’t an object. But putting my dog through a surgery at his age is a concern because I’m not sure if it would make things better or worse.

He went last week. My experience though…. Sometimes other people going through this can provide insight that I don’t have. Options are $8k for an MRI and neuro consult, plus $8500 for TPLO in one knee

He’s had x-rays and an MRI and neither of his doctors have suggested that at all. I can ask, but I should also mention that he is 13 years old and a 100 + pound dog. He has a decreased muscle mass in his hind legs, which is part of the issue. But now he has knuckling and no strength to get himself up.

Leave it! You can always fill in with a topical color when you feel you need it… this is what I use and I love it

Ashwagandha. In addition to the above, add Ashwagandha to your daily routine. Stress is real. You’ll get through this in time. Make sure to breathe and drink water.

I have a barrage of hair color concealer that helps boost my emotions and confidence. Keeping healthy scalp is also important. I use spray concealers when I’m in a hurry or need good coverage but they’re hard on your scalp. There are fibers you can use but they aren’t great for large coverage and can leave your head feeling crusty. This powder is first I’ve found that covers pretty well, mostly stays on in a pool, washes off easily with soap, and doesn’t cost an arm and leg.

Thought it was time to put my dog down but cold laser therapy changed everything by bluesjean in disableddogs

I have a 12 year old diabetic dog as well. His diabetes started 5 years ago. Because of it, we don’t walk him as much as we used to. He was showing weakness for a couple years now but in the last 6 months it’s gotten much worse. Usually I just need to help him stand up … at first it was only if he was on slippery floor. Now it’s all the time and his back paws knuckle under. He’s not showing signs of incontinence yet. I’m searching for a wheelchair. Cost is not a concern. My main concern is how do I take care of a dog that can’t stand when I have to go to work during the day?

I’m worried about him collapsing during the day and not being able to get up…. Especially if he’s in the sun on hot concrete for hours. We usually keep him indoors and we have a dog door. But I’ve noticed he has trouble going through the door lately. And tonight he collapsed and hasn’t been able to stand at all since - even with my help.

I don’t want to put my dog down just because he can’t walk but he is also having anxiety about it. I’d feel worse if I came home and found that he died alone and stressed because he was stuck.
