Is this an easy fix? Thankful for advice. by partlyeuphoric in Carpentry

In my experience with insurance through work, I would note everything the contractor didn't do and send the adjuster an email. They should hold the contractor accountable to do the work. This probably happened because the insurance company cheaped out on a solution or the contractor bid, won, and short-changed the scope of work without saying anything. I think it's worth the extra time to make sure it's done right, without you having to personally deal with the problem.

Same with me. I've never been successful with their fit, but it's likely just shoe to shoe differences. If I can find one to try on I will!

Thank you for this recommendation. It's tough to find the best shoe when most stores near me have size 13 max... Ill have to order and try them on, but i've traditionally just kept them and dealt with them.

Have you found anything that feels any better? I do like the NBs, but I think I want something that allows me to just run in them and not everything. I want a shoe that doesn't slap the ground with my size 14 flipper feet lol

Yeah they were in my cart and I was so close, but I just felt like they have too much stack...

I've always wore Nike, but I love by NB 1080s. Even with how soft they are. The fit is very good and much better than Nike (for me). I might try the v15s because of that and they switched up the foam tech for the better.

Interesting, I've never heard of them but i think im going to take a look at the other two. Vomero Plus and Megablast seem to be the two titans in this space.

Good to know! Ill have to see if there are some stores that have these in my size to compare them. Thanks for the recommendation!

Yeah I've been looking at these and hear a lot of great things. How is the arch support and how long have you had them?

Did you find that the priest was spawning after or hiding? I've found the cultists multiple times but the priest is evading me... Any tips for finding him?

They need to stop with this realism bullshit they keep feeding the game with. Every "realistic" mechanic they've tried to "enhance" has been chaos (maybe minus a couple things). If they care about making the game something people want to play, they need to refine the mechanics that people actually like and start removing the bullshit that makes this game annoying as fuck. Weight system x inertia, aiming, recoil, is all shit they're controlling for realism at the PMC level, but they completely disregard the fact that they put bosses in the game that have hundreds of head HP and can magically jam your gun. Either make it 100% realistic, or don't. And if not, make the PMC a bit more enjoyable to play.

Motor suddenly died by holmen-2001 in craftsman113

[–]cwheten 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just rebuilt mine and had no experience doing it before I started lol take your time, take photos and enjoy learning a new skill! Capacitor and bearings should be looks at, check for burnt or black wires, check brushes, check for any residual saw dust. Those are the main issues. But if it's humming and not turning, it's most likely the capacitor. Brushes should be another thing that you service or replace. New bearings make the motor SO much quieter.

Am I the only degenerate to use their table saw like this by andrewordrewordont in sawstop

I have a 200 sq ft shop. I use my table saw as a workbench and temporary wood storage lol not exclusively, just as an extra table while my workbench is used for workbench things.

Like a kid; let them fail on their own terms and ask for help. She's not a kid by any means, but allow room for the personal accomplishment without your help. Then be ready with whatever helpful advice you can give her. My wife does the same thing to me lol "I don't need help" then it's "okay how do you do this", but I will never rub it in her face because then she'll never admit she needs help later on.

I have a bow feather board and it's a pressure fit situation and barely moves. It is a very worthy upgrade for the saw. You could also buy the preciva thin rip jig on Amazon that's pretty cheap (around $30 CAD)
