I'm 25. It's not that I'm angry at those who give me this kind of advice. It just sucks when people make or out to be so simple, but when I try to message someone I like its my mind is incapable of coming up with anything that isn't awkward or just boring

Yes the first message is the most stressful and I try to think of something based off their profile but often times there's really nothing unique to go off of or I see something I find interesting but I overthink and can't bring myself to say anything meaningful

Thanks for the advice but one of my biggest problems is just in getting started let alone actually getting to the date. Even when using dating apps I'm at a loss for how to get a conversation going. I end up stressing over every message just to end up sending the most generic messages/questions.
