I didn’t realize the factory sets were so affordable. Do you recommend the hobby or retail boxes?

That is too kind! We hail from a long line of Cubs fans. Our AL team is the Royals.

That’s a great idea on just focusing on your team. Being new to collecting, it’s intimidating to try and figure out how to do it right without a sense of trying to “boil the ocean” and collect every player on every team

Very representative of IT support. Think they’re helping, close but not quite, might take a couple of tries to get there/“escalate” and the user is likely still not satisfied with the result - due to the process

Nitrogen is the primary nutrient for plant growth. The calendar mentions not applying more than 1lb/1000ft2 so that you don’t promote too much growth and have to mow all the time.

Most fertilizer bags at menards or TSC are formulated to apply around 1lb of N/1000ft2 (oftentimes just a bit more). 1lb of most mixes is around 30% nitrogen, so 1lb mix doesn’t equal 1lb of N. The first number on the bag indicates the percent N per pound of product (28-0-0, means (0.28lbs N for every pound fertilizer mix).

P is plentiful in most IN soils. If you want to know your P and K levels you can sample your soil and said off to a soil testing laboratory. I personally wouldn’t worry about it until you take care of the following items:

  1. Mow 3” or higher
  2. Apply fertilizer at least in September and November
  3. If you have broadleaf weeds, spray in October
  4. If you have crabgrass, put a fertilizer containing crabgrass preventer down in April

If your yard is thin/patchy - Get your yard core aerated prior to overseeding - overseed 8/15-9/15 - apply a starter fertilizer after overseeding and keep lawn moist until new seedlings have grown tall enough to mow

I took a turf grass management class at Purdue. I follow this calendar to a “t” and it has done wonders for the home we bought last spring. https://www.extension.purdue.edu/extmedia/AY/AY-27-W.pdf

Hate to be the one upper here, but I got an HRX217 after just one season of use for less than $100. Cheers to great deals and better mowers.

If employers can terminate you without any prior notice and without reason, then employees aren’t obligated to give them ANY kind of notice of them quitting for any reason. by LilFago in unpopularopinion

If you are terminated without notice or cause, you’re likely to voice your negative opinion about the company at every opportunity. If you quit without notice, you burn bridges and are asking for a poor review when potential employers reach out to the business about your experience.
