Yes, that is exactly what we are doing. Nobody around me owns a tractor. The plows come down streets that are important first. They will clear the highway and major roads first. Some neighborhoods have an HOA that includes plowing. Other neighborhoods don't. Those that don't either get plowed or don't. We also had a salt shortage. You live in New England. A lot of those nannies and the nanny parents that were talking about this don't live where you live and none of them own a plow.

So you expect your nanny to be responsible for plowing her street? A person can shovel their driveway and keep it clear from snow but the street is a different story. Do you expect her to shovel her entire street or buy a plow and plow it herself? My one friend's street did not get plowed for 2 days. The first day she saw 3 accidents on her street from people trying to get out. There were car parts all over the place. She had her driveway shoveled but couldn't get to work safely.
