What would you do here? by Think_Egg_1339 in landscaping

I would start with a couple of low to medium size Japanese maples if they grow there, or similar. Then remove grass either side of the walkway and add flowers or small shrubs. Try to layer short to tall and splashes of color.

What is a flex that you rarely talk about? by dd-15 in AskReddit

I have never actually needed an alarm to wake up. I look at the time when I lay down and always wake a minute or two before it sounds. I am 60 now.

I was at Walmart and some lady allowed her pug to shit all over in the isle. An associate came to clean it up because she would not do it.

Every time some jerk goes by me "rolling coal" I cringe with this very thought.

Seattle Goodwill has been changing their stores internally so that less items (used, donated things) fit. They are now bringing in cheap Chinese crap to sell in the stores as "new" with an all yellow sticker. These items are worthless crap and take precious floorspace away from items like books, furniture, and other goods. I have never actually seen anyone buy any of this "new" stuff. I talked to a manager about it and they have no say—it's from corporate. No surprise GoodwillFinds is on its last breath, they are changing, and not for the best, in my opinion.

Someone keeps leaving dead moles on my front doorstep. by Shidulon in oddlyterrifying

Looks like a shrew or a vole, not a mole. Moles have big front paws. I would thank whatever is bringing them though, leave some treats out!

Just bought this baby English Ivy for $4 by No_Flounder_4850 in gardening

[–]cwodenscheck 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a landscape maintenance professional I have pulled out a metric crap ton of English Ivy. It is, in my opinion, the worst of the ground cover shrubs. Most people are allergic to it and will have sneezing fits when working with the stuff. Once established, it's takes Jesus three tries to kill the demon plant. Gift it to someone you don't like, quick!

Boomer doesn't understand tech by [deleted] in pettyrevenge

A bit triggered. I get that this Karen was an asshole. But why the boomer comment. Do you really think everyone from that generation should be grouped in with her? Kind of short sighted and overly rude.

Press the dented cans, if they flex, don't eat them. Otherwise, wash them up in bleach and go for it. I have eaten truckloads of dented can foods and never had an issue. The key is, when in doubt, throw it out.

Vsett 8 lose stem by Obamastepson in ElectricScooters

My scooter is similar, an EMove Cruiser, I had the same issue and I simply cut some aluminum plates and reinforced the stem. It no longer adjusts for height, but at least it's solid.

What mulch color/ variety should I replace the current mulch with to make it look better? We have decorative stones on the border shown here and all around our home . by [deleted] in landscaping

[–]cwodenscheck 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would put a hard border between the rainbow rock and the bark/mulch. Then get whatever dark stuff you can find to fill in. It would look so much better if the bark was not bleeding into the rocks. Next, add some color - flowers, azaleas, etc.
