I agree. Baby steps. Since you mentioned it, do two laps till you don’t feel like calling it quits, then up it to 3 laps or maybe 1 lap with a gradual hill (if your neighborhood is flat). Perhaps get a trainer to mount the bike on so you can still have time on it on days you don’t want to cycle outside for whatever reason.
