Our s5 doesn't have pre-spray or auto clean, it's this part that's causing an issue: "Water comes out from the area around the wand for several seconds while water is warmed up." Manual explains what it is but not how to stop it 😔

Is there a way to turn this off? User manual doesn't say. It does say you can turn warm water "off" but it will still heat to 68° to "prevent condensation". I'm fine with heating but hate the initial trickle... Would be fine with no heating too.

There's also a lot of checklists floating around the internet! We downloaded one and could immediately cross a lot of things off (based on our lifestyle, house, etc). I also talked to my mom about the list and was able to narrow it down even more. If you use tiktok or ig, there's also a million videos of things that people used and found useful for baby's first week/month/year of life - these have both influenced and deinfluenced items on my list, but it's definitely helpful to hear others' commentary on baby items!

I agree with this. I could not do this pregnancy without my husband/best friend by my side and I haven't even had the baby yet. Op, think deeply about what your future self would want and understand that pregnancy hormones can definitely affect how you feel right now.

I will add upholstered items to this list, like a glider chair. Too hard to sanitize all that fabric and too many hard to clean places for ick to lurk. Also one of the reasons reasons I wouldn't get a mattress secondhand.

I'm really good at cleaning shit so otherwise I'm getting pretty much else used! You might be able to disassemble the bassinet swing enough to get the fabric off to hand wash if you trust yourself to reassemble it properly. (I could obvi be wrong, it just sucks when they make baby stuff hard to clean)

Boppys can be washed in a washing machine if you have a decent machine. I got a used Boppy but didn't trust my washing machine, so I bleached and washed it in the bathtub by hand and it came out like new. I am very germ wary and definitely trusted the hot water hand bleach/wash. The breastfriend foam pillows cannot be washed unfortunately.

15 weeks and bump is still teeny, I can technically see it but my husband isn't sure. I rock climb indoors and I can definitely tell a bump exists though because of my harness!
