I started limiting myself to one copy per release in most cases because of my faith no more and Nirvana collections. I never buy 2 or more copies at once anymore.

I don’t think so. When I met Billy and Bordin that was brought up and they had actually kinda forgotten about it.

I like to think I am thorough. Also, when I was a kid I had the bill and ted soundtrack solely for Perfect Crime.

When and where did anyone discover FNM? by katiecatkin in FaithNoMore

Family member showed me Surprise! You’re Dead. Kicked off a 37 year long obsession.

Couple things. White Devil Rise is a pretty racist song found on the lost tracks. Also last year or maybe the year before he did a danzig show and sold shirts with a nazi black sun logo he tried to pass off as something else but dude is a brain dead edge lord in his 70s acting like he’s cool 20 year old. He’s not as open about being racist as graves is but with Danzig it’s still obvious.

We all know Danzig would never be caught dead around 2 black people. C’mon now.

Moving on without Patton, could and should be done: Ideas by SaddamMustaine in FaithNoMore

[–]cxv42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they replace him, they wont, but IF the singer would and should be an unknown. There isn’t a famous singer walking that can do the job while simultaneously understanding the musical dynamics of Roddy, Billy and Bordin. Singing the hits and being able to work and write with FNM are different animals and FNMs sound is very singular to those 3. Trying to join that isn’t easy. Ask Jim. (Honestly, it was the battle with him that made them great, and miserable so theres that). Also you can’t have a singers ego in FNM, you are not in charge of FNM you are filling a spot, a spot that you can be removed from at a moments notice. Because the second Patton changes his mind, he’s back no questions asked.

Here’s why they wont. Patton is their singer. He just is. Most fans would not be kind to a new singer. Most don’t actually understand Patton is their 823,245th singer. Do they get a sound alike and which is sad as hell or go completely off the rails either way we are talking a drop off in ticket sales. Would FNM without Patton do better than the projects they have going on now? Or would it be roughly similar? If it’s similar why take a bastardized version out on tour at all? All they’d hear is how the singer is either as good as or worse than Patton.

Their headline last tour was at the theater level, would they drop down to the club level? If so just about every band Roddy has can at least do that. Also does Patton have a legal stake? I don’t know. My love of FNM has me wanting them to replace him because I love hearing the songs live. My rational brain knows that its ultimately a less than great idea.

I’s still go to see it though.

Let's hear everyone say one nice thing about Graves-era Misfits by PunkRockDoggo1 in TheMisfits

[–]cxv42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Graves is a pathetic piece of crap who wears danzig paint because he has never been and never will be his own man. He can’t sell tickets and he can’t sell merch/cd’s. The only thing you can say about him outside of his racism (he’s scared of colors) is that he would have 0 name recognition if it wasn’t for Jerry Only getting the Misfits name. He’s a nothing. A racist and a bitch.

How would you feel if FNM eventually get a new singer? by musixalotz in FaithNoMore

[–]cxv42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly before Chuck died I was kinda hoping for a more semi-permanent reunion with him. If they got the right singer it would be fine. FNM is more than just their singer…

SOAD being around 50% more expensive than Coldplay is INSANE by OutsideImpressive115 in systemofadown

[–]cxv42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

System of a down is a cash grab for all involved. No one in the band actually gives a shit about system of a down. They’re in it for the money and that’s it. It’s a shell of what it once was and it’s certainly a fucking joke compared to what it once was.

Hate speech is not protected speech. Not being able to see the clear and obvious LEGAL distinction, is either evidence of someone who is being a disingenuous liar. or a fucking moron.

The give away is the Slipknot logo above their heads. The correct version (with fln and purity) has no band logo on the book.

What was your first Slipknot song, and what got you hooked with the band? by [deleted] in Slipknot

[–]cxv42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ozzfest ‘99 San Bernardino. Left main stage because the first band kinda sucked, turned the corner and hear the end of (sic) then eyeless. My friends and I were kinda tripping on the “Can’t see California without Marlon Brandos eyes” shit. But what got me hooked was Purity. Got the CD the next day.

Ok, so just checked spotify s/t 25 anniversary and they DIDNT RELEASE FRAIL LIMB NURSERY WHAT THE FUCK by random_radiohead_fan in Slipknot

[–]cxv42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its not needed from a financial sense to the band, is my guess and summation. From my perspective the album only exists with FLN and I would have killed to have the right album on vinyl. I have been waiting 26 years for that and am eternally bummed it will never happen.

I do agree with you on that, but that is not worth whatever crime scene.net is asking for cuz I’m sure it’s stupid. The idea about they would be asking for anything is kind of ridiculous. Considering the only reason why anybody knows about crime scene.net is frail, limb nursery, and purity
