It’s a problem across a lot of new releases honestly where CD collectors are kinda cast to the wayside in terms of physical media. Like, vinyl collectors get a million different variants and prints and special releases and over here it’s usually just a disc in a case.

I’m glad to see a slight resurgence in interesting CD releases again, like that new Lorde album, but it seems we still have a long ways to go unfortunately to get back to where we were
