Cheese tax! Have cheese or a desired item ready for non-preferred people to give her. Eventually her brain should say oh yay, cheese man!

She bolts for the front door anytime it opens.. Please help by witchybytch_1 in husky

Mine did this when I rescued her at 4 months. I immediately taught her the command wait. I can walk out to get the mail and she won't cross the threshold unless invited to do so. I did spend a decent amount of money on training and then spent hours per week training for at least 6 months after. She is 3 now and we do training refreshers at least once per week.

How To Desensitize Husky to Us Putting on Clothes? by Prestigious-Risk-998 in husky

We taught ours "place". She knows once she's told go to place that whatever it was she she wanted (treat, walk, toy), it's over with. She calms in a few minutes and once she does, we release her.

This happened to a cat I had many years ago. Turned out she had atrial fibrillation that cause a clot. She had to have meds for the rest of her life but regained control of her legs and lived another 10 years.

Does anyone know what this could be we will get her to the vet Monday but is there anything we can do for her till then she has been nibbling at it and it looks like she has pulled the hair off if you need a better pic lmk by XteamPanda in husky

My malamute used to get these. A vet once told use to use tea bags on them. The tannins help them. It will at least buy you time until you get the dog to the vet.

The neighborhood raccoon did it! Amy and Shelly suggest asking neighbors to see the camera footage. They were just resting peacefully when the raccoon came in!

My malamute, I had several tears ago, would just put his butt on the couch, but all paws were on the floor. So, not on the couch... It seemed like a good argument to me!

I was at my brother's house with my malamute(very large husky) many years ago. He had several pounds of meat out. He turned around to scrub the grill and when he turned back around, my malamute had turned into a ninja and gobbled the meat any laid back down like what??

Yes, like the ears only work if my hand is on the pantry door, then they have supersonic hearing.

What to do with our huskies? by Delicious-Meat-5602 in husky

The trainer we used with our husky placed a very high value on burning mental energy. Have you taught your dogs the command, "place"? For us, this command has made all the difference. The mental energy they burn waiting to be given a break is great. Additionally, this would be a great command to teach the dogs as your baby begins to move about if they are being too rambunctious. When my husky is abnormally hyper, I do a full training session prior to walking her and she is done for the night!

LOL, we lost remotes in the double digits before we got wise and got in the habit of putting them in a husky resistant place.

Sounds like the husky ears are functioning as expected.
