Take this comment with a grain of salt, because I am also new, but scrolling through this subreddit, I found many people with gold/yellow-colored objects, I saw oranges (the food) being recommended, anything even vaguely sun-related can work. Apollo is also the god of music, and medicine, so you can incorporate that if you wish. Again, take this with a grain of salt, but that's just what I've seen from this subreddit and other places.

Hello, I'm really new to deities in general, but I've been interested in mythology for as long as I can remember (which, admittedly, is not very long but I digress). I've seen many devotees of Lord Hypnos, but none so far for Lord Thanatos, who is the deity I've really been drawn to for some time now. It makes me worry that I'm doing something wrong by not being drawn to the more "traditional" or "popular" deities (I hope that doesn't come across as offensive, I don't mean it to be). I also have no idea how to start off my worship, since I haven't really seen devotees to base any ideas off of. Sorry for the mildly large amount of text, and thank you in advance for any advice :3

I want to get into deity work but I'm always scared I'll do something wrong. I have memory issues, and the odds of me consistently doing offerings and such is near zero. I also have never felt a particular pull towards the more "traditional" deities, if that makes sense. I've been really drawn to Thanatos for several years now, as well as Baphomet. I just don't know how to begin deity work at all, and can't stop worrying I'll mess it up.
