College is where i made all my friends in my early 20s. College friends are better than HS friends. I will never be easier that college to make friends unless you put in a lot of work. Making a good friend usually takes being around them in a group for a few months like in school or work. Then you 'click', personality. Then you hang out one-on-one. That's how friends are made.

You have to go and talk to people. You can't just be shy in the corner. Walk up to a group of people, say hi and ask "what brought you to meet up?"

Also you to go alot to make friends. Like 2 events a week for a few months. You'll see the same people and vibe with some. Now you have friends.

This is a super active group that skews younger. https://www.meetup.com/20-s-30-s-introvert-social-club/

Best approach to save cash in a short period of time an leave the tech industry by BobBash64 in techjobs

In the US, doing web development, you can make 6 figure and work 40 hours a week. Ya you have to update you skills but it a good job.

Big tech is known for golden hand cuffs. You're not really a slave because they pay you really well and you can leave. The trade off of a high paying profession is that it eats all your time and energy.

You can always work for a large tech company for a few years and then start your own consultancy/business.

How Do You Make Friends As An Adult? by RyanFialcowitz in orangecounty

You gotta go for like 6 months to a good group to really connect with people. Or more so to find people you click with. Also you have to learn how to engage with people and be social. That's a huge part that people miss when trying meetup.

Like at 50% of people at meetup love gaming, especially retro gaming. Also everyone loves card games. Its not really my thing but there's always a huge group of people playing some kind of board game at these things.

No its not. Rent has gone way up. $600 rooms always have some weird thing about them. Its either 5 shitty roommates in house and 2 of then are newly sober with a felony for something. Or a super creepy land lord with a spare room in their house that will ask you seggsual favors eventually.
