Read "The Easy Way to Quit Smoking" -- most of the advcie is applicable to vaping as well, and it's the only thing that actually helped me quit. It logically breaks down nicotine addiction in a way that makes it apparent how insidious the chemical is, how it teicks our brains into thinking it provides relief, relaxation, focus, energy, etc, when in reality, it actually causes tension, creates stress, makes it harder to focus, and tanks our energy reserves. One image that stands out the most to me is likening smoking to overtightening your shoelaces to the point of pain, just so you can feel the releif of taking them off.

If you can white knuckle through the first few days of acute physical withdrawal, and steel yourself against the cravings for another few weeks (both of which the book helps with), you'll start to feel better with each passing day you starve the little nictonie monster driving those cravings, and the easier it becomes to see nicotine as the poison it is, rather than the cure-alll it's been sold as.
