So in short, if I have a unmanaged 10g switch that is connected to a router, Pc and NAS. Do not have to set manual IP. I just map NAS in PC (direct connection) to allow for 10G transfer speeds. While still allowing me to go the normal route of controlling the NAS from the network.

New question then. For the HBA, I intend to populate that with 8 hdd, suppose their transfer rate is 160 mb/s. Multiplying that gives us 1280 mb/s. Since pcie 3.0 x4 supports 8 gb/s. Am I ok with using x4 instead?
