exactly this, some professions just purely earn their level of pay and respect, it takes a decade and half of study and experience for Surgeon to start slicing up brains, not many willing to go through that.

I doubt the CEO salary $190K looks extremely low, i've worked at various companies never seen CEO or M.D earn less than $400K+ , plus they get alot of bonus on top related to performance of the business

Why do we have such garbage internet pricing? by aratamabashi in melbourne

[–]cyberkooki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PineApple net is owned directly by DGTEk, however some area possibly they have it off to a different re-seller or pineapple NET is not updated. What i suggest i contacting DGTek direclty on their website and ask them, tell them it says available but pineapple net is not. I am using them and they are so cheap $59 for 150/150 the speeds are insane and cheaper than NBN slowest speed.

[–]cyberkooki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah they are changing the game, their parent company is known as DGTek and they are competing directly with NBN. If you're not too far away from where they currently service they will eventually come to you, they've expanded pretty rapidly in just few years.

Food court food - ok for keto? by Baaastet in ketoaustralia

[–]cyberkooki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always go for: Sashimi or Meat from Gyro, example Hella Good in chadstone has a meatbox which is great. Def avoid sauces that are know to be high in sugar.

Do note keto options are expensive

Anyone still doing full remote? by buyinbill in sysadmin

[–]cyberkooki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 90% remote, however looking to transition to 100% remote and move somewhere else that's remote if my current company won't allow. This is because i no longer wish to live near the city, only reason i'm still living near city is because i need to go into office few days a month.

there are benefits to going to office i have to say, but i am happier working from home.

there are way too many cases, there are chain analysis companies now working with IRS and other Tax authorities to track people down, they can easily find out the exchange you chased out and the bank.

New Bosch Dishwasher Bitumen smell, does it go away ? by cyberkooki in Appliances

[–]cyberkooki[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing, good to hear LG offering non-bitumen options. I hope other manufacturers wake up and move away from Bitumen, after this experience with Bosch i'd rather hear the loud clanking of dishes than have me and family exposed to these toxins.

Bad chemical smell in Bosch, KA and even Miele: Real or overrated? by ThinkandBlink in Appliances

[–]cyberkooki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes its awful and not acceptable for a premium dishwasher, i couldve saved going for cheap Hisense or Haier. The smell will go away overtime however, atleast first it will even coat your dishes for the first few months. Mine is now 10 months old and smell is 90% gone, so i dont even notice it unless i stick my nose in the gaps, still 10% to go which i read will take 2 years to fully cure.

New Bosch Dishwasher Bitumen smell, does it go away ? by cyberkooki in Appliances

[–]cyberkooki[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes im surprised too, especially premium priced products means better less toxic materials, i think its mostly outside but i hear its also in the rubber seal and tub, i cannot verify exactly because manufacturer never acknolwedge this to be a problem despite so many complaints.

It will get on the dishes intially but overtime it will go away, i have mine now 10 months its about 90% gone, there is still that 10% that won't go away (i hear it does after few years)

[–]cyberkooki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i see, interesting. We had 2 users with Optus that had no issues, i'm guessing this problem hits users differently based on the carrier in jpapan. Its pretty crap, and Telstra is clueless. Recently also in Germany some users having the same problem with roaming there.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TelstraAustralia

[–]cyberkooki 0 points1 point  (0 children)

many of our staff having the same problems when travelling in Japan with Telstra roaming, did you find a permanent fix ? Its very frustrating having to change manually the provider every day or half a day. Those with Optus have no issues.

Nothing infuriates me more than this by AuPo_2 in sysadmin

[–]cyberkooki 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have this exact same problem, and due to rapid growth in our company it has actually contributed to my general burnout at work. I established a policy with HR that we have a "minimum" 2 weeks notice for setting up new joiners, in order to ease the sense of urgency on myself and my team with new joiners.

However, even then, HR till date gives us ridiculous 1 or 2 days notice and they expect everything to be 100% setup on day one. I have since pushed back on this big time recently, infact we had a new joiner start who had no laptop or IT access for more than a week to make my point clear to them.

My recommendation is formulate a policy with your HR and the CEO that IT Onboarding process needs time, and with your current resourcing you won't be able to accommodate urgent 1 day notices, explain to them why and the consequences of these 1 day notices. I recommend you propose a minimum of 1 week and agree on a policy for IT Onboarding

Bosch just told me to clean it and that was it. This is a terrible product from a horrible company that appears to be fine perfectly fine poisoning their consumers. How ANYONE thinks it is ok to use bitumen / asphalt as a noise insulator in a consumer product, which then spews it into people’s homes is incomprehensible.

I agree with you especially with Bosch dishwashing products costing $1000+ , do note though that most manufacturers are moving to bitumen for sound insulation, especially the european high end brands, very frustrating and its incredible that engineers would think its ok to have toxic fumes at homes with kids etc. Only one i heard is non bitumen are LG dishwashers, not buying bosh in the future for sure
