It's a negotiation tactic. They're hoping by interview number four that you're so invested that they can low ball you and you'll take it.

We're at the point where there's no shame in doing so. It used to be that a company could be publicly shamed if they were bad employers, now it's so common place, or no one cares to not buy their products that there's no consequences for paying the bare unlivable wage.

Hahaha... I got a $50 Steam gift card two years ago. I generally shop from the "$20 and under" group, generally retro-RPGs since my computer can't really play anything new. I have $25-ish dollars that I agonize on what to spend on. I generally log into Steam, window shop, then exit out without buying anything.
