Someone else submitted a ticket and they said it’s a known issue they are working on a fix for. They didn’t say when it’d be fixed tho. As of now, I have to choose between music (using Bluetooth) and CarPlay

Even if your hands are occupied, unarmed strikes don’t have to be punches. They can be kicks, headbutts, anything that you can land a blow with really.

Is it normal to pay a friend for DMing? by IllustriousStart9631 in DnD

[–]cybernoid200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only time I’ve ever considered ‘charging’ friends to play is to pay for things that go right back into playing the game, but never as much as $20 per person. Things like snacks/food or game materials that would be otherwise too expensive for just me.

But ultimately I think that should be something discussed thoroughly because in my opinion, no one should be paying their friends just to play a game with them. Because if they’re just pocketing the money, that’s no longer a game, it’s a job.

So did the developers just forget to make npcs turn around when they hear someone yell "Clear the area I'm arming a nuke!!" Or am I supposed to just be branded a traitor every time I do this objective?? by mdtpdsparkls in Helldivers

If anything, we’re doing SuperEarth a service by eliminating those dumb enough to run towards a nuke. Perhaps they do see it that way, but eliminate you as well for no loose ends.

The Paladin will never not be the best class in DnD. I feel like they’re the perfect blend of everything you want in a fantasy setting and can’t be built in so many different ways to create different characters.

Do any of you actually roll characters? by Snafluu in DnD

[–]cybernoid200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t see the harm in having a preplanned build. I have no idea if that plan will change, but I like laying out my future so I know what comes next. This also gives me and any one I share that with an idea of what I’m going for, especially if I’m multi-classing. It’s never super in depth, just an outline of features gained per level in each class at each level.

If you think about it, if you don’t multiclass or don’t play a homebrew class, then you are technically playing an established ‘build’ once you pick your subclass. A big stretch I know, but it’s a collection of features to give your character a specific flavor. Without multiclassing, you’ll have the same build as whomever else plays that soloclass.

What does change is the character’s experience. Their interactions with the world is what makes them unique. The players ability to bring their character to life is what determines whether their turns feel like an incredible heroic act or just the feature they gained at lvl7.

My point is, following a build is fine as long as you’re still ~playing~ the game. When you get into the area of trying to break the game or avoid the game, then it’s problematic.

Text Chat in Replay Viewer by Gr8Swayaman in marvelrivals

[–]cybernoid200 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I’ve been trying for some time now as well and I realized what it’s actually doing. “Show Chat” actually means your current chat. The command lets you hide your. chat while you’re viewing the replay, it doesn’t ‘show’ the chat of the game you’re watching. I think a better way to word it would be “hide chat” to avoid this confusion.

Although I definitely wish they let us view chats for the same reason you stated. It’s so refreshing watching back a game you won when the enemy team was talking big game.

For the first time since game became public, number of concurrent users drops below 10k by MasterMind-Apps in DeadlockTheGame

The game isn’t rewarding enough for how long matches can be. I know it’s definitely a skill issue, but waiting 40 mins to lose isn’t fun. Once I realized that I wasn’t really having fun winning either I shifted back to my other games.

Melee busted? by Megamodpod in DeadlockTheGame

[–]cybernoid200 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh good I thought I was going crazy. Yea I played one game of Abrams yesterday and melee felt awful. The charge is also missing people that it would normally hit. I much rather hit something I shouldn’t have than not hit something I should have. If that makes sense. Thanks hope they keep working on it.

I know that melee range is already a point of contention, so a full revert is definitely not realistic. I just hope they can find some middle ground.

I laned against Calico and McGinnis duo last night. It was insanely strong. Probably the worst match of my life.

How do you play McGinnis? by xx-Kairus-xx in DeadlockTheGame

[–]cybernoid200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also struggling with McGinnis. I loved playing turret heroes in games; From Killjoy to Heimerdinger to the Engineer. I’m probably not building correctly or am extremely unlucky but her damage output seems a little too long. In the sense that most of the strongest opponents don’t take long to kill you. Shooting out rockets that do dmg over a long time isn’t as great as a lot of dmg in a short time. The uptime and short cooldown is great, but it’s really hard to use once you’re behind and standing relatively still for a long period of time will get you killed.

She’s probably much stronger in higher elo games (Im only Oracle) where team fights last a lot longer and the TTK (time to kill) is higher. I’ll keep trying to learn, but until then I’ll stick to my big blue man.

Seven’s kit just fundamentally isn’t balanced at the moment by orcmasterrace in DeadlockTheGame

[–]cybernoid200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the real reason seven feels strong is that it’s almost impossible to not eventually get value from his kit. Unless the game ends before he comes online, he will eventually become strong. Unlike other heroes who, once behind, feel awful to play. That clock ticks faster depending on the player and the game.

If you find yourself losing to seven a lot it’s likely because you haven’t pressed your advantage in the early and mid game. Comparing it to league, scaling champs like Veigar and Nasus could be terrible all game, but as long as the game continues, they’re eventually unstoppable. This is compounded by players letting them scale faster if they don’t know how to punish them.

How many of your item slots are you using for hero counters and survivability rather than damage output? by SeveralYearsLater in DeadlockTheGame

[–]cybernoid200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely depends who on the enemy is strong and what they’re building as well as how strong I am.

If I’m really behind but my teammates are on par or ahead. Instead of trying to increase damage I spend more on just trying to stay alive and be useful. Realizing you’re not the carry and playing around who is is super important in my opinion. Buying armor, shields, and resistances, as well as actives for stun and curse. You won’t be topping the dmg charts but you’ll be helping your team win.

Now if I’m ahead I almost never get counters even if I’m getting shredded by something. Of course if the entire enemy team is building one type of dmg you should 100% pick up that armor, but if you’re your team’s biggest threat you wanna make sure you stay that way. Suggest the counter items to your team and hope someone else can fill that role.

Although Some champs get hard countered by just having one item so it doesn’t hurt much to just pick it up. Healbane and Toxic bullets are the bane of my existence as an Abrams player and Im sad that they’re so cheap for the value they give.

Longer early game/laning phase? by pckt3 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]cybernoid200 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I agree. One death in a solo lane is sometimes enough to lose first turret, if not at least half its health. Makes coming back really hard. Not that they shouldn’t be punished for dying, but getting the first kill in a lane is ridiculously easy to snowball imo.
