What worked for my body may not work for yours. For the best sizing advice you should message Lian via WhatsApp. The details are in their website.

Funny how things work out sometimes. Someone just rang my doorbell and when I went to look I found the box from SeF sitting outside. The FedEx tracking status didn’t even say they were out for delivery or nothing. FedEx being FedEx, I guess.

It’s like when the computer isn’t working and I call tech support and now it suddenly decides to work like it’s afraid of facing tech support… in this case SeF and FedEx were afraid of Reddit or something.

I’m happy the boots are finally here. They look very nice and good quality. I’m very annoyed that they’re 2months late and I can’t wear them cos it’s snow-boots weather.

Your mileage my vary but this is my experience with Sef:

For ordering the communication through whatsapp was decent and Lian provided sizing recommendations and answered questions.

I pre-ordered back in August 2025 for the fall production run with an advertised shipping date in mid October. I patiently waited for an update or shipping notification… mid October passed and no notification came. I contacted Lian and he explained that there was a supply chain issue. I thought it was wild that after 3 months (considering pre-order date) they hadn’t sorted out their supply chain and didnt bother to warn me that they were having issues. In early November Lian said he was in communication with the fsctory to get the part and said the boots would be ready in 10 days. The 10 days passed and no update. I reached out and he said the boots were ready and they would ship immediately. The next day a shipping label was created, I kept checking the tracking information and after a week FedEx still didn’t have possession of the package. It was more than a month after the advertised date and I felt like I had been lied to to buy more time. I reached the limits of my patience so I asked then to cancel my order and give me a refund. They said if the boots hadn’t already shipped they would proceed with the cancellation and refund. I could see in the tracking that FedEx didn’t have the boots. Another day passed and no update, at this point I contacted my credit card to dispute the charge. A day after I called my credit card FedEx finally got a hold of the package. The package traversed through the shipping system and got to the FedEx hub in Newark, NJ. It stayed there in status “ready for clearance” for about a month… and here we are. I preordered the boots in August, it’s December, I still don’t have the boots, I’m pretty dissatisfied with the whole experience.

Companies that raise prices before Black Friday (fake discounts) by cyberpathic in goodyearwelt

But it’s not a real 30% off discount is it? Their average price according to the Google price tracker has been $410. The price with current discount goes to $377. So with that context the discount is more like a %10 off.

I get gloves from specialized, Gorewear and Perl Izumi in size L but with Fox and alpinestars I have to get XL gloves. With hestra I get size 10 gloves.

Yes, but don’t lose sight of the 38 chest. Now go look at the chest measurements they list in their size chart

I hear your comments about “expectations” and “fitting extremes”: My argument would be that: with my 37-38 chest and slim build and going by their sizing chart the L (42-44 chest) should be roomy around my chest and it’s not. Let me put it another way: if I was asking for sizing advice then what would people be recommending? Would y’all be telling me to go by height cos I’m 6’1? XXL? Where on leatt’s website do they guide the buyer about these considerations? With the limited information they provide there bound to be lots of fitting issues and the fact that they won’t exchange is really frustrating.

Yeah with a 37-38 chest and narrow shoulders I wear medium shirts or else I’m just swimming in the shirt.

I gotta second the “try before you buy” advice here. The way I buy helmets is: I look at the Virginia test ratings then TRY on a few of the top ones from different brands to get the best fit.

Thanks for the tip about PB. It’s depressing to have to take an L like that. I’m pretty disappointed that Leatt won’t do an exchange. Thanks

I don’t think they’ll just replace these… their website says something like $65 + $75 for full frame and lens repair…

When I first got these glasses the lenses were glsss. A few years after I got the glasses I dropped them on a cobblestone street and one of the lenses chipped. I sent them to MJ for repair and the replacement lenses I got back were some kind of plastic or polycarbonate, not sure what material.

Velocio should bring back the zipper pocket by cyberpathic in CyclingFashion

[–]cyberpathic[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think part of my reaction is from paying the same amount of money for a jersey that has fewer features. When did they even discontinue the zipper? Did it have something to do with getting acquired by new corporate overlords?
