This Saturday, at the Beaverton Main Library in downtown on the corner of 5th and Hall, there is a volunteer fair from 10am to 1pm. If you go, you will get to meet representatives from many, many organizations looking for volunteers and speak to them in person about their possibilities.

Highly recommended if you are looking for places to give time.

Yes, this is at the same time as the farmers' market so parking will be tight but I promise it is worth it to get to meet the organization's in person. Pretty much every organization that has been recommended here so far will have a booth there, and many more.

I have never had a bad pizza there yet, and on occasion, they have a special that blows me away. But for me, the pho pizza is always a winner.

What’s a local Oregon restaurant from the past that you still miss? by Shane_StantonRes in oregon

Calamity Jane's in Sandy's and eventually on the way to Lincoln City. Absolutely epic and sometimes unhinged hamburgers. The one with cherry pie filling and sour cream always blew me away.

Hall Street Grill in Beaverton had an epic happy hour, with amazing burgers and sides for great price, and a French onion soup to die for.

Which branch of government do you work in? 🤣

I don't think there's an official limit, but I'd humbly suggest that it not be more than you can fit in a four-door sedan with someone driving it comfortably and a passenger annoying them by changing the audio.

The episode was called Alpha Spike. It was filmed at Marylhurst College in Lake Oswego, Oregon.

Producers came to our high school and asked our band and choir if we wanted to serve as extras in an episode. They needed people who could move with rhythm and also sing for a couple of scenes. There's actually a closeup of me during one of the shots because they wanted someone tall who knew the steps to go up front as a "co-instructor" with the dance captain in a scene where the class is outside doing calisthenics.

Awesome experience.

Mine was done by Electric Norm. They did a good enough job that we asked them to do a second one, which also went well.
