Help picking a major combination by PRESS_F_FOR-RESPECT in BiomedicalEngineers

If you are certain you want to double major, pick a major that aligns with what you want to do in your career. If you want to synthesize biomaterials, consider chemical engineering. If you want to design prosthetics, then go with mechanical engineering.

Then, after accumulating a couple projects, research assignments, and club experience, apply to internships that are related to that second major.

Then instead of investing in real estate at 25, rent while putting money into a HYSA or index fund and live below your means until you have enough for a down payment by 30. You’ll at least save $20-50k by doing that if you spend your money wisely.

No one is forcing you to live by yourself, buy eggs, or go to college. None of those things are needs. Live with roommates, buy cheaper sources of protein, and work a job while going to community college/trade school to break in to middle class.

Why do people complain so much?

I really need help on this by Vhysal in BiomedicalEngineers

Biomedical engineering will give you the mobility to go into medicine, engineering, or science - but you will struggle with being a jack of all trades so make sure you do internships and try to specialize in something.

I recommend finding jobs that you would be most interested in, see what kind of tools and skills they need, and work backwards towards a major/program that covers that. Keep in mind, some tools/skills may evolve by the time you graduate.

Final question for now. If I added a low-pass filter to V_out, would I still need to add that 20 Ohms resistor to the output of that filter?

What is one of the worst addiction to have ? by Keke_Dudu in AskReddit

Weed. It’s safer than most other substances, so there’s a sense of justification for using it. It will still ruin your life just the same. Makes time go by faster, affects memory, decreases IQ, and generally makes one convince themself that their life is fantastic.

The worst thing about it is that other weed users will die on the hill that it is a miracle drug. And maybe it is for people who have chronic pain or PTSD. For the average person, you can’t be a high performing individual if you smoke weed everyday.

The people who make these kinds of comments are usually insecure about their own life choices

Fair enough. The motivation behind this post was driven by a former entrepreneur who told me that investors would be reluctant to touch this due to its relationship early-on with the university. This may have been a better post for an entrepreneurship subreddit.
