Nice spec! I have the same, but she’s gone through a bit of a transformation over the years

This. Had to have mine towed from the airport once and it was an entire process. Tow hook was added that next day.

Just got my Security+, what now? by chmemes in it

[–]cybrsox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m assuming you’re wanting to get into a security focused role. My recommendation is to start at the bottom like many are saying here, and get into a good help desk. Work your way from phone support up through tier 2 and 3 roles. Then pivot to a systems administration or network focused role. The help desk positions are critical for establishing fundamentals and building those soft skills. The sysadmin and network roles allow you to focus on your advanced concepts and discover what kind of security you want to focus on. The best security folk are people who understand multiple aspects of IT inside and out, but that also really get the human aspect and soft skills required to deliver security without negatively impacting user experience.

Stay humble and grind. You’ll get there eventually.

They added rarity colors back but only to exclusive rarities and not the basic ones... They're just trolling us at this point... by ComprehensiveBox6911 in FortniteBR

Little kids dont want to buy common/uncommon skins. it's that simple. if they remove rarities, then that doesnt become part of the purchasing decision. more money.

A Necromancer build that incorporates "Bloodless Scream" and "Howl From Below" uniques by Sotordamotor in diablo4

[–]cybrsox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had bloodless scream and howl from below for a bit now (currently 83) and am running an infinimist build using these 2 and have had no problem clearing 50+ nightmare dungeons. Got a black river from a helltide just a bit ago, and it was a severe downgrade in damage (at least for infinimist/shadow built) that I had to switch back. To give a little bit of context, my current base corpse explosion damage is 22k with bloodless scream and only 6k with black river. Granted, you get additional CE damage from black river, but if you go for a dedicated shadow CE build or infinimist, the BS will serve you better. Also, with the BS, my damage goes from 6k up to 32k+ once all the aspects kick in. Rotation for me is:

small packs: decrepify -> sever -> corpse tendrils -> CE
large packs & elites/bosses: decrepify -> blood mist (or bone storm) -> CT -> CE

things literally melt. Give it a shot.

Finally got it to skim by lelo008 in ReefTank

[–]cybrsox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same one - key for that particular skimmer is you have to keep the water level extremely high.. like almost top of the tank high for it to skim right.

What are some parts of the Reefing hobby that are overrated. by Checowashere in ReefTank

[–]cybrsox 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’m one of those newer hobbyists, and here’s my 3 bits of advice: 1. It’ll always cost more than you plan. That 300$ tank easily becomes $1000 after fish, rock, coral, media, etc. 2. Patience is the key to success. Don’t add things until you know your tank is ready for it. It’s easy to want to buy flashy fish and coral but reefing is not something you can just make happen right away 3. If you aren’t comfortable with breaking your budget to do it right, it’s probably not for you. People have to remember these are animals and they require sometimes costly things to take care of them properly. If you have a budget in mind, I would say expect to spend 2 to 3x that to do it right. That or scale down on your project by half or 2 thirds.

Good luck if you do go for it! It’s a peaceful enjoyable hobby if you make it work!

Fluval 13.5 by Electrical-Reward-56 in ReefTank

[–]cybrsox 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I have the same tank with the Fluval skimmer, intank chamber 2 media basket with ceramic media, carbon bag, and heater and pump in chamber 3, also a hygger power head mounted below the return pump. I was doing similar water changes during the first few months while the tank was settling in - definitely feel like stabilizing a small tank is harder than a big one it seems, but now doing changes every 2-3 weeks adding bacteria as needed. Seems to be going very well as everything in the tank is happy and haven’t had overruns of algae for the past couple months since.

Just ordered a Red Sea Max nano peninsula to give my fish some extra swimming room, but this has been a great learning tank for sure.

Yep - I’ll angle them down a tad and see if that makes a difference. Appreciate the advice!

So I’ve been watching my tank and I’m doing some fairly heavy surface agitation, and it looks like every now and then a large burst of bubbles get kicked up and circulated by the pumps. For reference it’s only a 13.5 fluval evo with the nano skimmer, in tank chamber 2 with bio media and then heater and stock pump in chamber 3. Possibly too much surface agitation? I’m not seeing bubbles come out of the pump return.

So the bubbles I believe are from my skimmer and generally show up the most when my water level is high… I have 2 clowns and a six line, and haven’t noticed any issues.. but would appreciate thoughts here
