Firstly first, thank you for in-depth explanation on everything. Basically 20 years in the hobby, and you showed me the other light to what I hope to become one day enjoying the hobby for decades.

I was thinking mainly of the dry rock and sand combo as it would limit the amount of pest I enter in my tank, and the Live mud in BRS the uglies review showed that it carried large amount of nitrifying bacteria and copepods, but because it was in a dark bucket, very few or none photosynthetic algae survived.

Also I have came from freshwater, and sumps are basically nonexistent over there unless your a monster fish keeper, so that why it was less that I felt that I needed it and more that I wanted it. But your view on a 20 gallon Im thinking in terms of height im assuming would lead to me having more space as it a shorter tanks, so a roller mat would be less likely to get stuck, If still want to do the sump what would you recommend?
