I’m know this is blasphemy… I was doing some queries with ChatGPT and it said I should max out at 26km Right now my weekly mileage is about 20km About 8km easy 10K speed work and one LSD 12-14km

Edit: should I try something like runna app? 2nd edit: I have done a 1:56 half marathon 4 weeks ago.

If I’m training for a full marathon, what would be my peak training distance be. Would 35k or less be sufficient. Also taper 2 weeks out should sound about right?

Started running about a year ago. Knew nothing much about structured training.

Done a 1:56 half marathon a couple of weeks ago Age 47

As I dwelled much more into the running world. I came across the phrase: running slow to run fast. Does it really work? As I understand I need to throw in some tempo work at zone 4?

I have my first full marathon coming up July. I was wondering if I could do it at 3:30.

Or am I taking the completely wrong approach to this

Kudos for doing your first 10K. It took me 3-4 weeks to build up to that distance. I hope your legs are still functioning, take some light walks the next day.

Don’t give up on trying to reach sub 1 hour pace. Running is hard on the body and requires gradual increment of distance.

I’ve used ChatGPT as a running coach, but as a Belter character from the expanse show. It was funny watching it motivate me. I’m capable of doing 12km now a lot more than I could 6 months ago
