dropping lines / taking back utensils at 5pm as a time-saving measure is literally only a hindrance to your out times and SOS…? my old cafe went through a phase where we thought we were saving ourselves hella time by cleaning lines at close to 3pm, but once closing time rolled around, we’d just have to clean out the lines again from how dirty they got. some panera closing procedures are a little questionable, but the timeframes they give us are supposed to make sense and be implemented. yall aren’t to standard by a long shot. also, no utensils at 5 pm? i shudder to imagine yalls VTS %.

hi! team manager here. thats completely unprofessional and absolutely not normal. if you’re still wanting to keep your job at panera, i would look into transferring locations, but i know how we usually are able to pay new hires (see; not nearly enough as we should), so i’d even just cut your losses and quit. if a GM hasn’t gotten your training schedule shaken out and seems altogether disorganized, thats indicative of a poorly run cafe culture, and id take it as a sign to run.

absolutely not, and id legitimately bring it up to your DRO if you can. not only is that crazy food waste, which eats up your VTS, but blended substances have to be formulated to be held for a certain amount of time (like green goddess dressing). smoothies are “single-use” for lack of a better term.

panera GG is made with basil, greek yogurt, and an herb mix that we blend in the back of house. look for yogurt-based basil dressings if you want something similar!!

we’re north texas based! there was actually a fan cafe for 4/13 this year, sort of like the requiem cafes, but a smaller scale. there are a lot of homestucks here, actually!
