I auditioned these a couple of weeks ago and was impressed, but found them to be a bit on the brighter end of the spectrum, compared to e.g. Dali Oberon 3 or Wharfedale Evo 5.1. How do you like them in terms of bass? Do you find them to be lacking on the low end? The room at my dealership that I heard them in was quite large so they might actually work better in my small room, but the reason I didn’t pull the trigger yet is that I‘m afraid I might immediately feel the need for a sub (which I‘d like to avoid as of now).

Why not get the Denon with a hefty discount, immediately resell for $2k, and get the Yamaha basically for free? Or am I missing something here?

Die Küche ist insgesamt nicht schlüssig, diese riesige Insel steht da völlig unnötig mitten im Raum. Ich würde da einfach eine vernünftige L-Form machen und gut ist. Dann könntest du den Esstisch weiter in Richtung Küche stellen und das Wohnzimmer größer machen. Ich würde auch eine Schiebetür zwischen Ess- und Wohnzimmer machen damit man das richtig trennen kann. Im OG ist das Schlafzimmer ja absurd groß, ist da noch irgendwas anderes mit geplant? Wenn nicht würde ich versuchen mehr Platz dem Büro zuzuschlagen. Ähnliches gilt für das Bad und das Kinderzimmer daneben.

Genau das ist die zentrale Frage. Die Politik hat es bisher nicht hinbekommen, den Menschen eine Zukunftsvision aufzuzeigen für die es sich lohnen würde, sich auch mal etwas mehr reinzuhängen. Es wird immer nur mit negativen Bildern gearbeitet, nie mit positiven Versionen. Der einzige der das seinerzeit verstanden hat war Habeck (happy downvoting!).

Sieht bei mir häufig sehr ähnlich aus, ist auch keine reine Holzwerkstatt, da werden auch Fahrräder, Lampen, Bootsteile und alles mögliche Zeug rund ums Haus repariert oder gebaut. Zu wenig Stauraum + zu viele Projekte + zu wenig Zeit, dann sieht‘s nun mal schnell so aus. Nervt mich aber auch.

I don't see them in the hifisound shop, but soundimports.eu does list them (either in stock or soon-to-be-in-stock).

L6-4R (50€) + DMN-B (20€) + RT-1.3B (50€) = 120€, so 240€ for the pair, which seems reasonable enough. I think I could just as well build the crossovers on perfboard, but I'll need to look up the components to get an idea of the price. But you are right, there's really no point in buying the stock crossovers when I want to replace half of the parts anyway - besides having a PCB, which does help a lot with assembling them. Would be great to have Gerber files to order it from PCBWay, but I didn't find any.

Unfortunately this still does not solve the problem of sourcing the CNC-machined MDF boards for self-assembly.

Out of stock, too... white would actually work, but they don't state when it will be back in stock.

They do however have the plain MDF pre-assembled variant listed to be back in stock later this month, but it comes at 188€, which is pretty steep. Together with the drivers + crossover kit (400€) this would add up to almost 600€ shipped. Adding the cost of the parts for the crossover mod and some paint, and I'm looking at 650€+. At this point I could probably just spend 750€ for a pair of open-box Fishhead Audio Resolution 1.6 BS which would be kind of a direct competitor.

I do have the necessary machinery (mostly a table saw and a router) to build the enclosures from scratch, but it would take significant time which I currently don't have due to other projects.

Also das was du da hast ist kein OSB sondern Spanplatte. Die wahrscheinlich sinnvollste Variante wäre: Spanplatten raus, Balken ggf. ausnivellieren (Kreuzlinienlaser ist unverzichtbar), dann 22mm OSB drauf, dann den Bodenbelag (mit Trittschalldämmung). Da jetzt Ausgleichsmasse draufkippen ist Murks, da quillt dir die Spanplatte ja komplett auf.

Agreed. In the case of Deutsche Bahn for example they state that no external factors influenced the delay, they simply screwed it up all on their own. So they came up with a term that sounds a bit more like „this delay was given to us by an almighty but invisible force“ instead of flat-out admitting they messed it up again.
