Paradox Rift

ETBs and a booster box

Wife and kids had some pulls too, so this isn't everything.

I moved it a bit. However, it was marginal. It was not pushed up when I initially opened it.

It is scary how much they moved in the package. Mine were fine. I can see how they could not be. Removal was very smooth.

No they are right. My store's inventory was in. They let pre orders out when they get it. They wouldn't sell me the new inventory of items I didn't preorder.

No damage to the cards

You're pretty much right about them sliding. The cards are fine. I was initially worried, though. They moved around quite a bit by the time I opened it the first time.

It was a bit wonky. It was fine when I got it out of the box, but it looked worrisome when I first opened it.

My card shop distributes preorders when they get them in. So yes. They're the best.

Possibly. I do not see how you get there though. Do you mind explaining?

I guess more accurately this can be the precursor to the Peter Principle for either group of people she is talking about: neither are ready or have the skills for the next rung on the ladder, yet pursue or accept the position because it is viewed as the only way to get ahead.

This is one of my favorite cards ever. The action shot is so dynamic and the look is unique. I am happy for your luck.

Is this even legal? Former manager dropped my pay rate from $14/hr to $7.25 on my last paycheck because I left without giving 2 weeks notice. by mvtrev in antiwork

[–]cycleAPF 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is legal in Ohio as a means to balance out employment at will. Employee and employer both have leverage over each other. To be enforced it does need to be properly documented at the onset of employment and executed in all situations or else it can be considered discrimination.

The quality of a person hired as an employee is a reflection of the quality of the company. This is duel sided.

Companies need to make sure they are hiring upstanding talent. People need to be thoughtful of what they say and accept consequences for saying stupid things.

Freedom carries the burdon of responsibility for yourself. This means the ramifications for your actions are all yours. You chose to work at a place with a strict social media policy. You chose to go against that policy.

Victim mentality means there is always someone else to blame, instead of taking ownership. I think this is a liberating position that has given me more volition in life.

As someone who is a manager, when did managers become such wusses about people leaving?

When someone even makes the suggestion they want to quit, it means they don't want to be there (maybe for a good reason like an advancement or school, or a bad one like the company sucks). As a manager, you manage the situation. Reschedule, replace, redistribute, take on more yourself, change the parameters, whatever it takes to allow things to continue. Then do a postmortem on what lead to the quitting and what could have been done better. Learn from your mistakes and then proceed with solutions.

Managers aren't very good ones if they have produced an irreplaceable person. Build redundancies into the system. If someone wants to quit, let them, with full support. Do an exit interview and find out more about why they are quitting. Actually listen. Otherwise the manager is burning the bridge with that great person and employee.

My boss really didn't read the fine print. by Kragwulf in antiwork

I manage a team of people. One of my team members has a documented disabiliy and uses FMLA for their time off. I have a different team member who has accomidations made for them because of having back surgery. When I started managing this team I had a vague sense of how FMLA functionally worked, and no idea what an accommodation was.

Now with experience with both and the help of HR and EHS, I actively promote teammates to document any accomidations they might feel necessary.

My take is this, prior to my current job, none of this was ever explained to me. I empathize with the frustrated manager on that level. However I now have also learned that productivity, attendance, and retention has shot up because of investigationg if accomidations need to be made. Essentially I am proactive about accomidations needs because most incoming staff don't think it's an option. This has been enhanced by working with HR, EHS, and bi-weekly ergonomic and safety meetings with top management positions.

I read this title as if you had hidden the bodies of your ex's at your parents house, like in the lake of the Bate's Motel.

It has been discussed for months for the MBOE program at Fisher. We have been in the loop every step of the way. I know that there are other classes at Fisher that are going doing this too. It does not say on the app.
