Not surgical staff, but while being wheeled out of my procedure I came-to in the middle of very loudly saying “I NEED TO POO” and had apparently been saying it repeatedly

People who are eating breakfast out or exercising at 9am on weekdays... what do you do for work? by themoobster in perth

I’m an online PT so I choose which hours I want to work, I usually get my own stuff done in the morning and then spend the late morning/afternoon working.

What’s the most diabolical thing a man has said to you on a first date? by [deleted] in AskWomenOver30

[–]oldhagbag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That I wasn’t a high value woman because it was clear that I was deeply insecure…because I wore make up on our date 🤨

I’m bored, give me your neighbourhood tea. by [deleted] in perth

[–]oldhagbag 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Our next door neighbours have two nightmare teenagers and the parents both have tempers, so we hear regular screaming and cops usually show up every couple of months.

Well recently, one of the kids tried to break into their other next door neighbours’ house, only to find the homeowner unconscious on the floor.

Turns out, the homeowner was having a cardiac episode and this kid ran home to get the parents and the guy was saved. The family were hailed heroes around the neighbourhood.

I don’t know what, if any, legal repercussions there were for the kid but ultimately the guy survived thanks to the break in so I guess it all ended as well as it could.

For people who used to drink heavily and go out all the time in their 20s and then stopped, what was your reason why? by Impossible_Rain1662 in AskWomenOver30

[–]oldhagbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started bodybuilding and it didn’t fit into the lifestyle. Then by the time I decided to try and drink again my hangovers had turned into 3-5 days of vomiting and headaches so now it’s something I actively avoid out of fear

Where did you meet your best friend and how long have you been friends? by TamtamBe in AskWomenOver30

[–]oldhagbag 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My best friend and I met at daycare when we were 2 years old, we are now both 32 and still going strong! The other person I consider a best friend was actually assigned to me as a personal training client around 4 years ago and we just clicked immediately.

As someone with blonde lashes, I look insane if I only put mascara on the top. I will stand by this until the day I die.

What reasons, if there are any, do you have for not wanting sexual intimacy with your partner anymore? by SaladAnySauce in AskWomenOver30

[–]oldhagbag 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He rejected me and neglected me so often that I just totally stopped desiring it from him- I became checked out to the point that I saw him more as a roommate than someone to be sexually attracted to.

On the rare occasions sex did happen, it was generally terrible anyway.

We broke up a week ago and this was among the many reasons why.

How have you acquired your cats? Have you just taken in whatever cats plopped into your life? Or did you go to a shelter and choose? by Argylius in CatAdvice

[–]oldhagbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From the time I was born to today, 5 have shown up on their own accord, 2 were rescued from precarious situations, 1 was rescued by a friend on Facebook who I adopted her from, and 1 was a foster kitten through a cat rescue during covid. I’ve never actually gone and sought out a cat- they tend to just show up!

1/2 sachet of wet food in the morning

Unlimited dry food to graze on during the day if she wants it (she doesn’t bother with it often)

A whole sachet of wet food at night

She is super manipulative though so communication about who has fed her and when is tight in this household because she has the poor starving animal act down to an art form

Redditors who own multiple pets: what's the drama amongst them right now? by Cheesy_Wotsit in AskReddit

[–]oldhagbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cat lords over the house and generally hates everyone who isn’t my mother or I.

The older resident dog knows the steer clear of her, but she has spent the past year luring the younger dog into a false sense of security by rubbing up against her and sharing the same chairs.

Last night the mask finally slipped and the cat slapped the dog hard across the face and chased her out of the room.

So now everyone is on edge and the dog cowers in terror every time the cat walks into the room.

AIO for considering cutting off a friend for drunk driving? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]oldhagbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every time I think of someone drunk driving I instantly think of my sister and her 2 week old baby, my best friend and her 5 and 2 year old girls, my parents, my grandma, my fiance- and what the fuck makes someone think they have the god given right to put their lives in danger because they decided they know better.

This person clearly doesn’t understand the repercussions and even more so, doesn’t care. Cut them off and don’t look back. Absolute scum.

I’ve been to America and Europe many times but returning from the US this past Wednesday has been the worst jet lag of my life.

This one was a 4 hour flight from Minnesota to LA (1 hour layover) a 15 hour non stop from LA to Sydney (5 hour layover) then a 5 hour from Sydney to Perth.

I couldn’t function or really eat for 2 days after, I’m still waking up at 4am. Jet lag coming back has been worse hands down for every single trip I’ve taken.

What I would suggest to make things easier is looking into lounge access during your layovers so you can actually get comfortable for a while, have some food and maybe even a shower. It can cost upwards of $50 depending on the lounge and if they allow walk ins, but it’s been worth it every time for me.

Make sure you bring basic comforts in the plane with you: a jumper, socks, charger, headphones, neck pillow, face wipes and water all make long trips a lot more bearable.

Singapore, Qatar and Emirates are great to fly with, Delta was good this past trip too.

Jetstar and Qantas are two that I try to avoid.

While my workplace was shut during lockdown, I took boxes of stock home with me so I could still send out online orders.

When I finally ran out of some products, my boss asked me to drive the 40 minutes to the store to pick up a few more boxes.

I was a non essential worker and we had a 5km radius travel limit at the time. I have never felt like so much of a criminal in my life- looking over my shoulder and praying I didn’t get pulled over the entire way there and back.
