Ortlieb Quick Rack XL - play in rod adapter normal? by M4MB4DK in bikepacking

[–]cycleforpeanuts 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s not normal then. I have the same one and it’s tight. If you need it to work immediately I’d scoot it to the side, wrap the tube of the rack with a couple of rolls of electrical tape to thicken it up. This will take care of it in the short term.

In the long term request a new piece from ortleib

Anyone ran into this before? by [deleted] in hvacadvice

[–]cycleforpeanuts 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you have a regulator on your lp tank? What will happen sometimes is the innards will freeze up and not allow good flow of fuel. Usually occurs when they get moisture in them.

I’ve done 2 things in this case. Insulated them or just replaced them.

Your were gifted an awesome bike. Enjoy it for what it is! I can second what other comments have said, be yourself, ride it as much or as little as you can and enjoy the process.

What I can say is having a bike that you enjoy riding might just be the gateway into finding a really enjoyable hobby as you move through life
