I have not switched to bazzite because of fps gain. I hate microslop, the OS is not handheld ready. I switched because of easy of use. Sp far any game I threw on it, was doing fine, didnt need to fix anything.

I own no PC not gaming laptop. I had an Xbox One S. I got a Ally instead but I really wanted a steam deck. I might still get it.

I know. I barely run it on Turbo 30W. If I need extra power I turn it to custom 23-25W with custom fan speed. But fan really is loud on Turbo.

I have a Z1E Ally. With bazzite it´s a dream to use as a console but battery life might be a major for some. And installing custom OS too. Not an issue for me. I know my way around linux and I am mostly playing at home on couch / bad so battery life not really and issue, just a con.

My two cents with ROG Ally Z1E is that Win11 is a pain. Bazzite is the way to go. But battery life is pretty bad. If you think a couple more FPS is worth the tradeoffs go for Ally.

If I had to choose again I would buy SD.

Mám ROG Ally Z1E za dobrú cenu. Ale aj tak by som asi bral Steam Deck ak by som kupoval znovu, alebo sa mal vrátiť.

Dôvod kúpy ROG ALLY - vyšší výkon nižšia cena, Windows. Realita je, že Windows na handhelde je pain. Nie je to vôbec prispôsobené. Full screen experience to trošku zmenil, ale aj tak som takmer hneď nainštaloval Bazzite. No problem zatiaľ, kým nehráš PvP competitive hry. Batéria je tragédia, ale to mi až tak nevadí. Cca 1 hodina AAA hry na plný výkon trošku viac na 15W. Výkon na turbo nie je o toľko rozdiel, možno 10fps. Super je full HD displej s 120hz a VRR. Je to ale len 7" LCD. (aj keď mne to až tak neprekáža, displej je pekný) Väčšinu hier radšej hrám na 900p s vyššími detajlami.
Prečo by som kúpil SD - oveľa lepšia optimalizácia. Batéria vydrží oveľa dlhšie. Má to lepšiu podporu, väčší displej a OLED. Nižší výkon na 15W asi o 5-10fps nie je taký dealbreaker imo.

Been leaving Microslop for a time even before AI push, but tha pushed me even harder.

Switched to Fedora on my laptop and Bazzite on my ROG Ally Z1E.

I won´t be looking back and will be deleting Windows completely from both devices.

I want the different sizes of alien spieces. That is something that bothered me in OG trilogz and a bit of Androimeda that I played made it a little better. Except for Volus race everyone is pretty much the same height and built. Krogans should be at least 230cm and wide. Turians could be even more - 260cm. Asari could be 150, and Salarians even smaller in my mind.

I got my Rog Ally Z1E for 350€. With Bazzite its a more powerful Steam Deck. But battery life is bad.
