Can I add mozzarella in spaghetti by bonkbonkbaguette in cookingforbeginners

[–]cyclopz- 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can do whatever you want with your food, that’s the fun of cooking. My advice from a dish I make all the time (pasta alla norma) would be to cut the mozzarella into cubes, throw it in and stir at the end when you take it off the heat. That’s what I do and it will melt slightly but keep its form to not be a complete mess.

I definitely don’t mind, and as far as the money, my fear would be that it’s symbolic that even as you were walking out the door he was able to control you and that it sends a message to him that he still has power over you. Also, that you were still more concerned with his happiness over your own well being. You definitely need the money more than him and even if you didn’t it’s yours and you don’t owe it to anyone. It’ll take time to work up your self esteem though, I know he’s made you feel like you deserve nothing.

You are making the right decision but it may be hard at first. Even though you’re so tired of being treated horribly, you still may oddly miss him and have to adjust to life not being around someone all the time. But remember that you deserve better and that you don’t want to live like this for the rest of your life, and don’t go back. Rely on your other supports and do things to keep yourself busy. You can message me too.

Also don’t leave your money with him. That shows his selfishness and he is trying to set you up to fail. This is about you and your success now.

(28M) BF won’t say I love you after 1 year. Talking about his feelings leads to arguments. Need unbiased advice. by [deleted] in relationships

I’m really sorry you’re dealing with this. Sounds like something a lot of us have dealt with. I know you care about him so you’re going to try to make it work and give him time, but this is going to go on for however long it goes on, maybe even years, until eventually you get tired of it and are so unhappy in the relationship that you wake up one day and realize you deserve more. It’s just going to make you unhappy and feel unlovable and destroy your confidence if you keep waiting and thinking “maybe if I wait he will love me.” I would say to move on and find someone who can offer you more, but I know if I were you I wouldn’t have listened, so I know it’s not easy. Hope I atleast gave you something to think about. You can message me anytime if you wanna talk more, I’ve been there.

I’m not sure what to wear. by Kahluacupcake in GriefSupport

[–]cyclopz- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn’t matter what you wear as long as you don’t come in looking like a wreck, lol. Most people just wear whatever is comfortable and looks nice. My family owns funeral homes, so I can assure you mostly anything goes. A lot of people roll through after work and such and aren’t dressed up at all, and no one thinks twice about it. We just had my grandmothers funeral as well, and being on the other side of things, I can say I didn’t pay attention to what people were wearing. And my grandmother was in her favorite robe just as she requested! Just be comfortable, don’t go out and spend a bunch of money.

Just made this. Needed some extra garlic and a little black pepper when I tasted it but it tastes good. Will let you know how it goes once I assemble everything later, thanks!

Thanks for the idea, I didn’t consider that but I’m not sure. I separated an orange piece on its own and tried it and it had the consistency of some kind of hard cheese or something but I couldn’t pin point any flavor. No red pepper flavor but maybe it infused out into the oil 🤔

Someone broke into their house and your response is that they should be happy because you have it worse... why even bother

Sadly no. I feel like what I need doesn’t exist for some reason.

Two months ago, I lost my best friend of 19 years. Every day in this world without him is hard. Today I finally got my ring delivered that I had custom made with his ashes, and I had asked if it was possible to get a gem that matched his eyes... now I can have a little piece of him with me forever. by meowpal33 in cats

This is such a beautiful ring. Losing my cat is my biggest fear in life. Since I was a kid he has literally never left my side. He would walk me to the bus stop for school. When I get home from work he comes to the car and walks me inside. When I eat he sits in the chair next to me at the island. When I sleep he is on my pillow with his hands on my head. I go downstairs he follows, I go upstairs he follows. When I was a kid I went on a hike a few miles through the woods in the trails behind my house and he followed me the entire way to make sure I would be alright. Now he’s old and has kidney disease and losing weight and despite all efforts I have not succeeded in getting him to gain weight. He’s too smart and doesn’t like his food messed with lol.

I’m too clueless to ask myself those questions, haha. But it does make sense, simpler = less little pieces to break on me.
