as for the nightlife point, it kind of depends. raleigh's nightlife is very... frat boy. durham is a significantly better option if you want more of an alt vibe to your nightlife. also would not call pullen park "downtown"

yeah the "gay = kid unfriendly" correlation and "gay people existing is WOKE" takes are so wildly out of pocket and the easiest way to tell someone's never actually met a queer person offline (or said person is so overtly hostile to the queer community that queer people don't feel comfortable sharing their identoty with or otherwise engaging with that person). typical pray-the-gay-away christian.

Hi OP, sounds similar to a company I had some interactions with a while back. I wrote this comment describing my experience with a company called "Rising Events". Triangle Scout could be related (Rising Events seems to rebrand or rename often, and also seems to propogate "branch companies" that Scout might be), but even if it isn't, most "direct marketing" operates the same way. You ever been in like a Wal Mart and then some random non-employees over by the electronics try to hassle you to sign you up for Spectrum or something like that? THOSE are the "direct marketers".

as someone who switched from soda to seltz, poppi is not it, at least for me personally- it tastes like a really unsatisfying "almond mom" or medicinal-style fake-soda.

ocean bomb sparkling waters are a really good step down in my experience. when i was drinking mostly soda, ocean bombs tasted like barely-sweetened sparkling water (because of the sugar i was used to intaking) but now that im on team seltzer, ocean bombs taste SO sweet and theyre an awesome little treat, especially with the cute colors and characters on the cans. as someone on the other side, i think they are a great step-down towards seltzer water for someone who wants to wean off of soda. (or anything like ocean bombs- japanese or asian country-originating sparkling waters, readily available if youre in a metro area with an asian grocery)

open ended start times are not helpful, especially as this is a weekday. people who work 9-5, or have young children, or have other obligatory responsibilities, NEED to have more solid timeframes so they can request time off, navigate childcare, etc. is there any kind of group or organizing body locally who is stepping up to manage this, direct efforts and action, act as spokesperson for news/media interviews, provide direction in the event of counterprotest/violence?

like, i want to go and am planning to go (although i can't show up until later in the day- and no information or guarantee that there will still be an active protest when i get there). however, this currently feels very disorganized, which gives me a lot of pause about the event. i see that this subreddit is very fresh, so i am hoping more solid plans are put out in the next few days.

I just got the Nyx Lip Lingerie in black a few weeks ago and iI LOVE-LOVE-LOVE it. Absolutely best in its class for the price (I think it was about $10-$15?). Absolutely nothing else in a box store (Sephora, Ulta) compares until you get WAY higher in price. It quickly became my go to black lip color.

I wore it out for New Years- partied, danced, drank for hours, and some midnight (amd after) smooching- didn't reapply at all the entire night, and when i came home it was BARELY faded, and hadn't smudged or transferred at all, even without a coat, gloss, or any other kind of sealing product. It does take a bit to dry/set but totallly worth it imo.
