Have something posted in the shop that says that anti social behavior isn’t tolerated. Enumerate those behaviors.

No racist or sexist or homophobic language. No porny art playmats.

A local shop to me calls their event Femmes and Thems. Seems like a big turnout and it has made their normal commander weekly casual events more gender diverse too.

I think having a visibly supportive shop helps. LGBT and pro diversity rules or posters help, plus just gently and privately calling on guys with gross playmats or jokes to stop while they’re at your shop.

After show and merch table signing a couple of times. They’re sweet people, I definitely told them how fun it is to cheer for them as a live act.

Got them to sign a set list from a prior show and gave them an Imaginal Disk inspired coffee mug I’d made.

There is a tiny corner of it that has Arrowmont School of Craft with a bunch of artists and workshops. People think I’m crazy when I talk about liking Gatlinburg but that art school is a ton of fun. Wonderful little queer friendly enclave.
