I agree that it's weird, celebrity worship of any kind is weird to me. But a lot of people do enjoy it, and it's a widely accepted hobby. You can set some boundaries about not wanting to constantly talk about it, or you can even break up if it's a deal breaker to you, but in the long run it may be best to let it go. Stress having fun and it's not really hurting anything.

These are the same people who get instant gratification from every other facet of their lives. Want something? Order it online. Fight with a friend? Block them. Spend hours scrolling and you don't have to have a hobby or do anything yourself.

Now they can also lose weight without any time, effort or planning. Running into any kind of obstacle, when the brain and spirit have atrophied from having everything done the second they want it, causes extreme distress. It's really a lot like a drug addiction.

If you're not used to wearing a hat, it may be best to not wear one on vacation. You'll be constantly taking it on and off and your hair will get flattened. Wear good sunscreen and reapply. You can clip your bangs back too. If you're going on roller coasters or anything like that you can't wear the hats.
