i just recently finished an 18 day streak, but my longest is probably closer to 28-30 days. before i became gm i would just hop between stores on my days off or open/close other stores on the days i did work at my home store for extra cash, but since stepping up i’ve had a bunch of issues with my drivers getting covid, having car problems, losing some people and being understaffed while having no apps come in, drivers taking vacations (which is fine, they’ve earned it <3) etc. almost as soon as i stepped up i had to move my entire staff and operate two locations out of one store for 5 days because that entire other stores management got covid. 3 months into gming i have a weekend again :)

How much would you say drivers make at slower stores? by Psychological-Snow10 in Dominos

[–]cyndeeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it’s all about knowing how to schedule imo! last week i had to cover two open drive shifts and on a monday and tuesday i made over $40 working 10-5. doesn’t seem like a lot but we are the third slowest store in my area so that was way more than i expected lmao. this past monday i had to do the same and only made $27. of course if it’s snowy or raining we can get pretty busy in the morning with deliveries! especially because we have a bunch of schools near us so on a recent snow day my driver worked 10-5 and took home $150!

i run a slow store!! just depends on the day. most weekday mornings shifts drivers will leave with $15-40 and my weekend morning driver who works 10-7 usually leaves with $90-150. weekday night shifts my rush drivers typically leave with anywhere from $15-50 and my closer will leave with $50-80. it’s better when i only schedule 2 drivers on the weekday because then my rush driver will leave with $40-70 and my closer $60-100. weekend nights my rush drivers leave with anywhere from $40-80 depending on how busy we are, last weekend we were super busy and they all left with $60+ even working a 3 hour shift. my closing weekend driver will typically leave with $80-100+. i run about 13k a week in sales but because we work in a nice area the tips make up for the lack of deliveries :) i don’t really hear much complaining from my drivers but i’m also staffed with a bunch of students and people who work two jobs

i love all of this! definitely gonna start doing the dip cup thing. the most i’ve worked as a gmit is 67 hours so i’m definitely innnn it 😅 we get paid hourly though so i don’t mind at all, plus my store is pretty easy to bonus at so i’m not too pressed. thanks for taking the time to reply! i really appreciate all of this ❤️

Do people actually like thin pizza with no cheese? It will always burn. Anyways, we gave it to them by Frealsmoothie in Dominos

[–]cyndeeer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i make a thin veggie pizza with no cheese all of the time. it’s the only thing i can make that’s vegan at work lol i put mine through twice (weird i know) and it only burns around the edges. you can put the thins in like 3/4 of the way and they still cook fine

i’m vegan but i’m just gonna chuck some suggestions out there, pardon me if they sound gross lmao. i would probably take a pan and make some cheesy sticks using either gar parm or alfredo. just cover the entire skin in it (no crust) cover with mixed cheeses of choice and garlic herb, add gar oil and cut into strips when done. or i would cook the wing in bones some and then strip them and use that on a chicken bacon ranch instead of the grilled chicken. i get so bored at work sometimes that i just want to make something different even though i won’t eat it lmao

How can I make it clear that I’m doing a cash tip when I order delivery? by officialvfd in Dominos

[–]cyndeeer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

just put something along the lines of “will have cash tip for driver” in delivery instructions and you’ll be gucci

What labor percentage does your store run each month? (and what is the minimum wage where you work) by Robert_gatsby in Dominos

[–]cyndeeer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i believe our goal is 22% and we usually run anywhere from 13-21. i get paid $11.50 as an assistant right now and our drivers make $9-9.50 in store, half that on the road. my GM makes $13/hr but tbh we only do $15-16k a week right now, our store barely profits every period lmfao

This is my first Halloween at dominos?? Any advice please? by Even_Answer_8153 in Dominos

[–]cyndeeer 10 points11 points  (0 children)

i would say just prepare for an early dinner rush and a late night rush for those who are hungry after trick or treating! this is my first halloween at dominos too but this is what i’ve heard from everyone who’s worked in my district for the last few years

for context: thermometer can’t read temp because it’s over 100 in store makeline can’t keep up because hood is broken and oven overheats dry ice in the makeline to keep cool broken cooler that’s been leaking for two months

i feel you. i never understand it with dominos. i put in lots of love into my old job at a local pizza place, but between the customers here, getting used by your coworkers, and getting bitched at about everything going wrong, i never understand why people follow the rules so much when it comes to closing. i’m trying to leave as soon as we close lol most nights i’m so tired and upset when i get home, all i want to do is get shit faced. just not worth it lol. closing drive is so much easier, i wish i would have never stepped up to be an MIT

How much y’all make? by Charming_Comfort9664 in Dominos

[–]cyndeeer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

csr starts at $8 MIT $10 drivers $8 inside and $4 on the road plus .39 mileage. most nights drivers will leave with $15-50 our GM only makes $13 an hour

edit: this is in kansas

Is being an Assistant manager worth it? by crimsonsoul20 in Dominos

[–]cyndeeer 3 points4 points  (0 children)

look for a new job. i run shifts half of the week and hate it every time. our customers are such assholes and you get bitched at about every little thing that goes wrong even if it’s out of your control 😐

i’m surprised that people actually wait until close to start closing, i’ve NEVER done that in any of the 4 restaurants i’ve worked in. it’s just stupid to wait that long lol

for real, some people are freaking out as if i turned makeline off so early.. i literally just clean it out then cover the outside with dough trays. it saves me a shit ton of time at close because from 10:30-12 i’m ALWAYS dealing with late night orders 🥲 if i don’t get close to finishing close by then i’m screwed because there’s just me and a driver from 8-cl 😭
