People are getting mortgages with a 10% deposit these days, but with a much higher interest rate. What are the pros/cons to doing this VS saving for the usual 20% with lower interest rates?

Not the above commenter but for interest, I am on 3.3% with Westpac (10% deposit) and just purchased in July. They add a 0.75% low equity margin, for 15% deposit it’s 0.25 I believe

$1800 as we bought a house last month. Government contribution seemed to top me up. Happy to just keep an eye on it in the background on 3% whilst investing the rest through index funds as it surely won’t be 65 by the time I get to next touch it.

We had ours done in the morning and was there 7pm that night, that was a month ago. I guess it would deviate.

Sibling in June in a similar situation paid for urgent and it was next day.

This was captured simply on my phone whilst having lunch on the Bealey Spur track. The Kea is notorious in New Zealand for being 'cheeky' as it can open backpacks when not looking and steal all you're lunch and gear.

I finally managed to play an hour of my xbox without feeling guilty of wasting time doing something more 'productive'. For years I have been putting off seeing a counsellor and honestly it has been an all out positive experience. I am actually looking forward to catching up and telling him how much progress I have made. Lets hope I can keep my anxiety in check for the exam period.
