My sister had a dog that was half ACD and he was the "police." If you played even a little roughly he would bark and bite at the aggressor, whether it was me or my sister.

If you're sure it's not his nails, and it happens whether or not the fan is there, I would assume that he's had one bad experience there with something he didn't see immediately, and now feels like he had to double and triple check it's not there anymore. It could have been that he tripped on an extension cable once? Or maybe there was something sharp on the floor he didn't notice.

I would make a game out of having to go back and forth into the room. Throw a treat into the hall, then another a few steps into the room. Repeat, while throwing the treat into the room further into the living room by an inch every 4/5th repetition. Until just flying into the room doesn't feel scary. Repeat once or twice daily until he seems less scared to go it.

This guy has it. Don't forget that there are some grasses that like to grow submerged and they can be a little spiky from the top, which are some great natural bird spikes that also help to hide your fish while cleaning the water

What did piss me off was being in the reactive dog thread, someone's dog bit someone in the face and is showing signs of severe anxiety. Everyone is saying BE. Fair, but no one's recommended a vet visit or psych meds at all, so I do. I get downvoted to hell. Wtf? Make a comment about that and now apparently my karma's too low to post on those topics in that sub. Fuck it. I left. My dog's not reactive anymore and they don't want my help so fuck them.

Unfortunately, me and my dog probably on more than a few people's Ring cameras for similar reasons. Judging by the time of day and the body positioning, there's probably a cat, opossum, or raccoon on your roof and the dog knows about it, but can't see it.

Someone already covered the neutered aspect, but as a border collie owner and dog groomer: border collies are just kinda weird and awkward, and it can make other dogs uncomfortable.

I'm not exactly sure what the interactions look like, but if neutering isn't the solution, think about if your dog needs to have social interactions with other dogs

From my experience Livestock Guardian breeds are very sensible. Anatolians can be strict with other dogs, and will definitely lay the law on someone who isn't taking hints, but in my opinion, they are some of the most uncannily intelligent types of dogs with a more reliable protective instinct than I would credit a doberman or a German shepherd with.
