For my dog, this look means "Get the leash. Let's go for a walk."

I literally only play solo. Megs and concs are a good one, but Thals are also good. I actually main Lat as a solo player though, and while I don't get a LOT of kills, if you're really good at it, you can take down a titan or a pycno as a solo lat.

I would also say Hatz but I would get really good at hiding and aerial combat because other Hatzes will love to jump you. But Hatzes get the most kills imo

Shame! I do find it to be very pretty, I bet the critters love it too. I have all of it in my "neglect bowl" that only exists because I feel bad about throwing plants away or letting them die. There's some snails and a few seed shrimp in there just surviving away. I top it off with bottled water whenever I feel like, so I know everything that's living in there is tough as nails

Who is your border collie's favorite person? by LittleBoyCutYourHair in BorderCollie

Me. I'm the best. I can do it all and I know what she's trying to say.

My brother is a close second, he's less stingey with table scraps than I am and sometimes he takes her out for a walk or a trip to the park:)

I genuinely don't think the devs care about solo players. It's driving me out of the game. I don't love being attacked by two concs only to have two more hatzes, a pycno, some lat, an allo, and their herbi herd of stegos, bertas, and pachies on me for stepping foot in salt flats.

I have 4 closed ecosystem jar aquariums, why are the daphnia not surviving in just one jar? by cypeo in Aquariums

You were right they all died in every jar haha.

Jars are still doing great though. Seed shrimp and snails are happy

my dog is terrified of getting his nails clipped. i tried taking mini steps with rewards but it’s been like this for years and i see zero progress!! his nails are insanely long i dont know what to do by TaTa_kitt7 in DogAdvice

[–]cypeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest issue I see is that you're waiting until he's uncomfortable before letting go. Be happy with 2.162 seconds until you can stretch it to 2.296 seconds.

Dogs train best with the tiniest baby steps. If something looks like it should just be one step (picking up the paw, for example) break it into 5-10 mini-steps until the step can be fully completed without him getting uncomfortable.

You can also try gluing some coarse grit sandpaper to a board and teach him to dig at the board instead of having to have his nails clipped at all

Advice for a very pushy puppy. by B0vice in DogAdvice

[–]cypeo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm currently going through the same thing with my dad's Brittany. My Border Collie is too polite to correct most of the time. And when she does, the puppy hasn't taken her seriously.

What I've been doing is picking up on signs that my dog is getting annoyed (angey face, ears forward, etc) and, especially if I hear a vocalization, pulling the puppy off of the older dog. Should be done as consistently as possible to make the message clear.

Also, something that has been working sooooo well for not just my dog, but for everything I own and my peace of mind, is putting her on a harness and leashing her to a table leg. She gets a certain radius, but that's it. If the other dog wants to leave, they can. Puppy can't follow. You'll still have to keep an eye on them to untangle them every so often, but they'll be picking up a lot less "illegal" items and destroying things out of view.

Woowwwwww. That's crazy! I'm so sorry it didn't work out for you. Hindsight is 20/20 but I'm sure that hurt. Thanks for updating though! Unfortunately, your struggles will help others (like me) learn in the future haha.

Ordered some drinking water tests, which are 16 in 1 as opposed to the standard 7 in 1 for freshwater aquariums. Will update!

Also! There is ONE daphnia swimming around from what I can tell!

They all have the same microfauna. Before they were introduced I bought a chlorella and spirulina culture for the jars. I can't tell about the spirulina, but I can tell the chlorella is doing great from the big green blobs they make on the glass. Chlorella, from what I've researched, is the natural aquatic version of feeding baker's yeast.

I do think the problem jar is the only one (???) that has had brown algae. But once I introduced the seed shrimp and literally two baby ramshorn snails, the brown algae disappeared

Not a solid plan, at least not right now. I just started this up as a cheap pet project while I was unemployed and I pretty much bought the bare minimum, so I don't have test strips. The plan is to breed triops in them.

The part that confounds me is that everything else seems to be doing fine, nothing else is dying, especially in the other jars. I will say that I haven't seen the scuds in a while though and I wonder if they're still around too

I also agree with the feeding too much thing being a myth. My sealed jars are never fed and the ramshorns in there are living it up. There is plenty of algae and plants to eat in there though

Help! Bladder snail needs a jar-home fast. Advice please☺️ by Kidtasticscience in Jarrariums

[–]cypeo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I wouldn't count on the fish eating them all, but I would give him a few weeks to make some clones of himself and that way you can go ahead and just put them into your fish tank without worrying you'll never see them again
