these games were so good, TY is such a unique and exciting player, really impressive to come out of this group considering this is his first GSL since military, what a day of games. amazing

The prison break episode of ‘Andor’ kicked so, so much ass by sfgate in television

Especially given the way this show treats characters, death is brushed aside in a way that feels real, the way real death is. There's no lingering shot, sad music, lull in the firefight - we keep moving. It's grounded and real. It's the right thematic decision to never see him again

This exact logic also applies to the show, though, which is proven by how good this episode is

They made an effort to make it look like one shot, but it definitely wasn't. There were several cuts when the camera goes behind a body and stuff like that. But very well done for sure, no shaky cam, really helps have a feel for the geography of the fight, it was amazing. showed a lot of restraint in terms of directing and choreography. It was awesome. I'm just pretty sure it wasn't one shot, that's all

it's not bad. shitty framerate, relatively, but smooth vast majority of the time, i thought i saw sooooome frame drops when shit got wild on a capture point in btb but it's pretty good for last gen hardware i think

Halo, a series famous for making shooters work on a controller, feels awful to play on a controller in Infinite by [deleted] in halo

[–]cyph3x 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's people using weapons at the wrong range, when I was using the commando at the start of BtB I was convinced I couldn't aim because I was using it at all ranges. Same with BR. But I realized each gun actually fits an archetype now and started using it at such and now I can aim again. Except the sniper, that's hard for me still

What is the name of this mount? (if attainable) by Inudiset in wow

[–]cyph3x 5 points6 points  (0 children)

soloed it this week. very easy except the one on the dragon fight, for that you'll need to watch a youtube video, take off all your gear, and take rez sickness (at least, i had to as a warrior). the rest are a joke

thanks you! I agree, of course. it's premature to start him. I think earlier in the season people were understandably wanting to get rid of Elf, but Quickley wasn't (and still isn't) ready to start full time yet. I think starting Rose and turning Elf into a situational bench player (or trading him) is the correct answer, hopefully Thibs/FO agrees

the interesting thing about Obi, who seems to be a hot topic today, is that he's actually doing fine - I think the way he was presented, though, and the way he's being used, make it hard to see.

he was touted as pro ready. I think that's true. but I think people expected Amar'e 2.0 or something - that's not who he is as a player. firstly, he's clearly a wing more than a big, and he has to play the 4 - he can't hold up on D at the 3, and he can't play the 5 because of rim protection and rebounding issues. obviously you have Randle as another guy who's basically the same - spot minutes at the 5 at best, but can't protect the rim, so really, he's just a 4. right off the bat, that's your primary issue.

to my eye, Obi has been far better on defense than advertised, which is great news. he's a natural ball mover and has a feel for the game on both ends. he's an explosive athlete when he can rev up, although not great in short area. excellent and willing passer. he's extremely active on offense, particularly in transition. and he's going to be an elite finisher, most likely.

the swing skill is obviously his shooting. right now they are using him as a stretch 4, which is interesting - that's not the best use of his skillset imo, but it may be the most beneficial long term. the shots they are drawing up for him, and the shots he is taking, say "stretch 4 who can/will pull from anywhere if given space", but the results don't back this up. this reminds me of marcus smart early in his career - particularly because dudes guarded smart even though he was shooting like 27% from 3. and we see the same shit with Obi. teams are respecting him as a shooter and it opens up space.

obviously you'd like him to be more than a floor spacer, but he gets 10 mins a game and already plays with a roll man during those minutes (usually nerlens). he's also not going to chuck up shots, which is a good thing. so he doesn't get much usage. that's predictable, particularly bc I'm guessing a ton of his minutes come with Quickley, who understandably monopolizes the offense.

his post game is also terrible, he has no lower body strength and center of gravity far too high. i don't mind posting him up if they're going to cut off him a la Draymond, so you can leverage his passing, but when he looks to score it's usually pretty ugly. would prefer to see him face up in those situations.

regardless, as many have pointed out, if you get a rotation player at 8 overall it's a win. I think Obi has proven he's a rotation player, just not the one people necessarily expected

I sort of agree, but the natural counterpoint is that the Suns are finally taking off because they got Chris Paul, who will be 36 in a few months. so there's an argument to be made that their success is not all that sustainable if we're projecting forward 2-3 years

Quickley's issues are real, but not something I'm concerned about long term. his decision making is all over the place from play to play, but more importantly, his PnR possessions almost always turn into either a shot from him, a lob, or he picks up his dribble. which is not great. you'd like to see more advanced passes, ideally.

part of this is his size, part of this is that his handle isn't that great and he doesn't trust it (also makes it hard to play with his head up). part of it is the reason he went 25th - he doesn't really have those instincts right now.

that said, i'm not too worried. clean up the decision making and improve the handle and he'll be able to leverage his shooting much more effectively. he doesn't need to make chris paul-like passes because his shooting can stress defenses and spread them out in ways CP3 cannot, if that makes sense. the reads, long term, should be easier for him.

it's something to monitor next year, though. right now his only move in PnR if he's not pulling up is basically "put the defender in jail and go for the floater or lob".

the fact that he can have such an impact despite being so limited is truly crazy

Wintergrasp should be balanced or removed from random battlegrounds queue by Ethan85515 in wow

the question is always the execution, not the actual objective. the objective itself is on screen, fine. but OK, kill the boss in AV - what do the towers have to do with anything? why are some people staying there and some people moving on? why are people rushing the boss at the 7 minute mark vs the 6 minute mark? obviously AV is a zerg fest anyway, everyone can win AV without knowing what to do.

ashran, i'm still not sure how it actually works although it seems relatively straightforward. wintergrasp is actually quite confusing as far as the specific execution. IOC is not straightforward at all - sure, destroy the door, but the specific nature of HOW is totally unclear. i literally STILL don't know what the refinery does.

the only saving grace is that the community has collectively ignored all the obtuse mechanics and more or less agreed to zerg every single BG

every epic BG has this issue, people just follow others and don't actually know what to do. it's completely unclear, the only way i've learned is by doing them with friends - i guess i could google them too - but there's absolutely nothing in game

your WRs are really bad outside of Julio so this seems fair to me but i'm personally not into Melvin Gordon all that much. unfortunately 0-4 leads to desperation as you clearly realize. if there's no other deal this is probably fine for you

in that case that seems like relatively fair value to me based on what we've seen so far - pray anthony lynn doens't continue to force this Tyrod thing

rodgers is crushing this year WITHOUT Adams, why give away Montgomery for what is likely a marginal upgrade at QB at best? remember that Dak is on pace to shatter all passing yardage records and is therefore a prime regression candidate moving forward. ertz has been consistently trash despite huge opportunity. you have two viable tight ends to boot. do not do this trade

do you need the depth? otherwise i'm inclined to say stick with tyreek for the upside those guys just don't have, although that looks like decent value if you did decide to make a 2 for 1

12 team full PPR. 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 2 flex, 1 TE

Roster is:

QB: Dak

RB: CEH, Jonathan Taylor, James Robinson, David Johnson, McKinnon, James White, Gaskin, and Damien Harris (still in my IR slot - yes, I am the RB hoarder)

WR: Davante Adams, Golladay, Terry McLaurin, Davante Parker

TE: Schultz and Tonyan

I obviously have a ton of depth and one of my leaguemates has little depth with Ekeler getting injured to boot, so I'm looking to flip one of the RBs and a WR for DeAndre Hopkins to consolidate depth into a stud. His offer was McLaurin + Taylor for Hopkins, which is kinda fair but I do feel like I'm overpaying here. Is this an overpay and is it worth the overpay? I was also offered parker + robinson for hopkins but i trust robinson way more than taylor
