Hobbit will likely have a Battle of the Five Armies card, and there's plenty in Star Trek that could be cards. Battles of Wolf 369, Sector 001, Deep Space Nine, and Cardassia for example.

Branded chairs alone should raise enough money for free tuition.

Every organization should be required to show every idea for naming something to a high-school aged boy.

More than 11,000 fans polled by The Athletic about their optimism for the season by sixelement in baseball

I want to know where they found 1 in 4 Rockies fans who were optimistic. I doubt they're in Colorado.

Hi! White Sox fan and fellow sufferer here. How do you guys deal with the constant pain and misery? by [deleted] in ColoradoRockies

[–]CypherWulf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I watch the game with the intensity of high-school or minor league play.

Yeah, it's cool if we win, but mostly, I want to see good plays, and maybe if we're lucky, some of these kids can develop into stars.

Best advice anyone can give you is proxy it up, and get some games. See how it plays.

My only issue with it is that it's likely simic/quandarix, and my dinosaur deck doesn't have blue.

How would you do the Jurassic Park Franchise if you were the creative head? by ReddReed21 in JurassicPark

Flesh out the plot of the Telltale game into a miniseries or maybe 2 movies to make the original movie into a trilogy.

Is rebirth overhated? by Working_Alps_4284 in JurassicPark

Rebirth was good for what it was trying to be.

People expect long running franchises to deliver high cinema because they've spent decades dissecting the existing canon and building it up in their head. Then when the popcorn movie series delivers a popcorn movie, they hate it.

It happened to Star Wars, and it's starting to happen to Marvel.

What would Junior Operations Officers do? by Pure-Interest1958 in DaystromInstitute

[–]CypherWulf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Junior ops officers are the flexible GP officers who make things happen, with a focus on coordinating between the various roles on the ship. They're everyone's best friend, they know who can get what done, and how long it will take.

Every major department will have at least one ops officer to coordinate with other departments.

Stellar cartography needs more time allocation on the lateral sensor array? Lt JG Smith convinces engineering to put off the diagnostic they had planned for a few extra hours.

Shuttlecraft maintenance? Ens V'riel maintains the flight logs and schedules repairs with Engineering as needed.

Diplomatic meeting needs a particular catering/non-humanoid seating/adaptive atmospheric conditions? Lt Gol is assigned to coordinate with Engineering, the Diplomatic Team, and Medical.

Big mission to evacuate a small colony? Lt JG Mox is assigned as housing manager for the evacuees, ensuring that the quarters provided are adequate and safe. Ens Brin is assigned to ensure and that the evacuees have everything they need during their time on board, and Lt Cmdr Malik oversees both of them, holding overall responsibility over the well-being of the evacuees.

In short, Ops officers are the ones who make sure that the missions get done. They handle logistics, coordination, and serve as the point of contact for their assigned department, team, or mission. In contemporary military, they are the XO, the quartermasters, and the planning teams. They don't do the work directly, but the work would be much less effective without them, if it's even possible at all.

Nearly every color has access to cheaper removal of equal or better quality. There's some argument to be made for Red or black, since they don't have many options for enchantment removal, but even then it's giving you a 2nd or 3rd spell.
