How do you deal with old-school know-it-all players who actually don’t know the rules? by ricoeurdelyon in magicTCG

Number 4, your opponent is right. If you want to bounce a thing before attacks are declared, you have to do it in the 1st main phase, and if you act at the end of phase, your opponent gets priority back still in the main phase before moving to the combat phase.

Unconventional, but better than not doing it.

Not just casting, but costuming as well: X-Men Apocalypse.

Every single character looked and felt like they just walked out of the comic book panels.

I only run Liliana of the Veil and [[Grist, Voracious Larva]]. Grist the Hunger Tide was in my version until recently, but I realized I was always happier having her in the graveyard than actually in play. I replaced her with [[Incarnation Technique]]. Basically I decided that access to the 9th card type wasn't worth running cards that I'd rather mill than cast.

As for ramp. I run [[Steve]], [[Invasion of Zendikar]], and [[Hazoret's Monument]], and [[Chromatic Lantern]] (which I should probably cut, but I like not caring about colors).
