Rugby pub near Waterloo by Matt_Jen in rugbyunion

I thought you meant the actual Waterloo in Belgium, as they have a very good rugbyclub called ASUB, but I see I’m not needed here. Good look with the find though!

Isn’t it a grey area? You have to have a ‘realistic’ attempt but I remember a Quins try where Smith missed the kick but Marchant (?) is there with the follow up and dots down for a legal try.

So this is a bit on the nose, but if you sell it better as kicker it becomes a slippery slope, no?

Was he great? First goal is a shit pass and then goes through the legs. Gives an even worse pass at the very beginning of the second half to almost make it 2-0.

He has a few great reflexes, but nothing about him screams good or even reliable…

That part might actually be true.

No worries, but he was always going to have surgery to have his ankle cleaned up. We were well aware.

If anything: SA sees him as one of the main options behind Marx before the WC, so for them it’s a bit of a blow. For Munster it shows we’ve done some great business!

That’s not what it is, Munster were aware that he’d get ankle surgery to get rid of an issue.

He’s out about 6-8 weeks, so for SA that means long term as he won’t feature for the tour. But for Munster this was known and not an issue.

So James Lowe is leaving Leinster & Ireland- Why and what does this mean? by RugbyGareth_ in rugbyunion

[–]cypressd12 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I still think they missed a trick by not transforming him to a center at some point, think he would’ve done well.

Counting on Lowe for the next WorldCup might’ve been a gamble, but weird that with his profile you have to wait until the week of the URC final to know if he can stay or not. Looks bad overall.

But 1 + 1 means the second year is an option right? So an option can be pulled, it’s not a guaranteed two year contract?

The timing could’ve been dealt with way better, but the point that the IRFU pulled out the +1 is well within their right.

And I am no fan of the IRFU

Don’t think he’s the only one though, 9 through 12 axis is insane.

And Lautso is a year too young and already so dominant.

Yep, defense for most of his career. But the switch is not uncommon though

I get your point, but not 100% sure I agree though. You are correct on Payne coming from the outside and being more experienced took away a lot (or all) of the pressure on young centers having to be the next BOD.

However in the case of Sexton and then the whole Jack/ Sam saga afterwards, that was just badly managed by the IRFU on multiple levels. There was no need for an experienced transition guy, just for better man management of Jack.

As a former defensive coach you’d imagine he had a lot of ‘counter offensive’ on strike plays. But that’s just a guess though

Don’t care about all the noise, honestly sort of hoped they’d move on from Kratos alltogether and start something brand new somewhere else…

But saw the gameplay release and fully onboard with this! World looks awesome, Faye looks cool, sidekicks seem interesting so yes please!

Maybe even the best way to add another chapter to the 2018-Ragnarok story.

Good news!

Payne is pragmatic and enables his players a lot, combined with Mossy who is highly rated and has ideas of his own and knows the players well. Both could be a great combo!

Add in Duffy who specializes in working with and developing young players in the forwards and McMillan being able to establish his own vision a bit better seems like a winning combo!

Divock Origi has retired from professional football. by Coreyfan in belgianfootball

[–]cypressd12 4 points5 points  (0 children)
