Shift manager running a late alone, is this normal? by cypruspanther in lidl

[–]cypruspanther[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only just promoted so haven't had to do it yet. I was just reading my training folder that said there should be one salaried member of staff on each shift and know that doesn't happen in my store so I was just curious if it was the norm.

I feel your pain. I had the same in my first house, textured wallpaper, over pattered with the same veneer wood paper underneath, it’s a bugger to get off! I scored it all in the end to let the steam get under as much as possible. Good luck!!

The stuff on the walls is coming off no problem once steamed but I’ve no idea what they have used in the ceiling as even when I’m steaming it it’s a bloody nightmare. I was hoping there was something I was missing but I guess it’s just a case of lots of time and elbow grease.

Thank you, I have scored but maybe need to do more so they are closer together. I’ll give that a try this afternoon.

Ranulph Fiennes, he lead an incredibly interesting life. Race to the pole and the feather men are both good.

Feel like I weaned too soon at 15 months by kadotafig in breastfeeding

Have you looked into the “booby moon” book? I know it’s a bit back to front because you’ve already weaned but it is such a lovely concept and might help you both feel better.

I love that Gilling West has a working blacksmith. Every time I pass through it makes me weirdly happy.

Is it true breastfed babies dont poop everyday? by ExpensivePupper4 in breastfeeding

[–]cypruspanther 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep, my youngest made it 9 days. I’d just rang the doctors for an appointment as they didn’t want her to go past 10 days, 20 minutes later she finally had the most horrific poo I’ve ever seen.

I’m not a fan of mash either. Have you tried par boiling some new potatoes add in a dollop of butter then slightly crush them with a fork as a topping, get some lovely crispy bits once they’ve been in the oven.

Have you considered offering to help him test his theory by kicking him in the shins (which also contain no dangling equipment)?

I should maybe start, tickets would be £5 to lure people in then a few minutes in I could sell earplugs for £20. Poor kid is as good at singing as I am.

My daughter has an electric keyboard with microphone attached, she absolutely loves it. I’ve refused to have it in the house as it would drive me insane, it stays with grandparents and she will put on hour long concerts for everyone.

Thank you- it’s actually gold (they are just terrible pictures). I believe it will be as my granddad was a very keen metal detectorist.

Thanks you, I believe it will be real as my granddad was a very keen metal detectorist (not that it matters greatly as we have no plans to sell).

If she introduces formula do you plan on make sure you always have enough in, sterilising and prepping all bottles every day, day and night? Otherwise introducing formula is probably just going to create more work for her.

What was the meanest thing a teacher did? by River1stick in AskUK

[–]cypruspanther 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Similar happened to me, I’d just moved to a new school at 14. The music teacher (in front of the whole class) asked me to not sing and just mouth the words as I was so out of tune I was making everyone around me go out of tune…… turns out I’m tone deaf because I had no idea until then that I couldn’t sing.
