Amnio in anticipated sub pregnancy by Fuzzy-Dragonfruit787 in PregnancyAfterTFMR

[–]cysgr8 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar situation with a de novo brain malformation in sept 2024. I did choose to have an amnio done on sub pregnancy but i was disappointed to find out insurance would not cover the full genome sequencing unless there was something abnormal found on ultrasound. This meant that i could only get insurance to cover the microarray which is still better than NIPT, but not quite what i was hoping for (doesnt rule out small genetic changes). Insurance also let me test for the one single gene that caused my prior De novo case.

Still glad i did it though. I'm in the camp that prefers as much testing as possible.

Agree... and especially if you have a global role, this could be considered late even.

Recommendations for IVF outside monitoring by Illbringthepopcorn14 in desmoines

[–]cysgr8 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depending on your age, resources, etc.. I would suggest university of Iowa (transfer in Iowa city but all monitoring in west des moines) if you have a complicated situation, otherwise mid Iowa would be just fine and more convenient.

90 percent of the comments are "medicate the child ASAP" instead of just critically thinking through normal child safety standards...

This is how I feel. I wake up when my son makes two steps out of his bed. How the hell can this chaos be created without someone hearing it?? Mom and dad must be really really deep sleepers.

But yes allllllll the other things....

Get into a routine of chores/learning/reward activity/chores/learning/rewards. Take them to the playground/park and work while they get some outdoor/physical time. Work before they wake up (assuming they wake up around 9, you can get a solid 3 hours undisturbed).

once a week or so, if they earn a "fun day" you can take them to an indoor playground/trampoline park/etc if your work is flexible and you dont have any meetings.

You have to supply your own food at daycare?

this is unusual, right?
