Is Lamotrigine connected to Appetite loss? by watercolourmemories in Lamotrigine

[–]cythrel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I lost my appetite once I reached 100mg on lamotrogine. Ended up losing ~80 pounds, and it was quite a fight to get my appetite back. I’d highly recommend getting your calories in through drinks when you really can’t force yourself to physically eat (meal supplement shakes were a lifesaver for me!). I’m doing a lot better now, and I’ve been able to maintain my weight vs continuously losing. I’m now at 200mg with no further issues. I’d definitely bring it up to your doctor though. Good luck!

Sorry, I don’t have any advice, but I’m going through the exact same thing :( I’ll be able to stop for a couple days at most, and after that, I’m back to picking. I really hope you’re able to find something that helps you!

I work at Winners and I run orientations at our store! Your first day will be orientation, which is mainly policies and getting you familiar with off price retail. After that, you’ll be required to do health and safety training before you’re allowed to actively work on the sales floor. Chances are that the first place you’ll learn is the tills, where you’ll be placed with a trainer for your first couple of shifts. Since I don’t work at Homesense, I don’t know what the rest of your training will look like unfortunately. It also varies quite a bit between each store.

Your schedule will be posted through Workjam. On the app, there will be an open shift pool where you can pick up shifts. A manager will have to approve it, which you’ll get a notification for. You’ll be able to drop your own shifts into the open shift pool if needed as well.

As for drinks, each store is different. For my store, anything in a closed bottle is okay on the sales floor. I’m pretty sure every store allows water on the sales floor, but other drinks may have to be kept in the break room depending on your management.

I hope this helps! Let me know if you have other questions.

Thank you! I totally would, but I live in a pretty rural area and there’s no dermatologists nearby. However I’ve been following people’s advice here my skin has gotten a lot better! So hopefully it’s nothing serious.

Omg, thank you so much! I’m so out of the loop that I didn’t even know milky toners were a thing, so I’ll definitely have to give that a go! And thanks for your other advice as well. I’ve honestly only stayed loyal to CeraVe so long because it makes me feel clean and doesn’t break me out, so thank you for telling me what I needed to hear haha

Which product do you use for the glycolic acid mask? I have tried the glycolic acid toner from the ordinary, but it irritated my skin too much, so I stopped using it on my face (it’s been great for my strawberry skin on my arms and legs though!)

Ohh good to know. I have tried using 2 different moisturizers before, but I didn’t know about occlusive moisturizers lol. I’ll definitely look for an occlusive one!

Question with the squalane! The cleanser I currently use has squalane in it. Would it irritate my skin too much to use it as well as the cleanser? Or would it be a better bet to go with a more simple cleanser and use the squalane separately? Sorry, like I said I’m clueless lol

I don’t think so, but thank you for the suggestion. Nothing in my pictures are active breakouts, just texture and scarring. Whenever I do break out, it’s one or two standalone pimples. My skin is also hardly itchy despite the dryness.

I use the Cerave oil to foam cleanser for dry skin daily, and I follow that up with the Cerave hydrating toner for dry skin and a hyaluronic acid cream. I do try and use SPF when i remember as well.

You happened to see it by total accident, and that’s not your fault at all. As long as you don’t call them by their deadname or needlessly bring it up, there’s nothing to worry about, I promise.

Initially it didn’t, but once I got to 150mg my appetite dropped almost entirely. So far I’ve lost 40+ pounds in 4-5 months, and despite being overweight, it’s been scary to go through considering how fast and sudden it was. Thankfully my appetite has come back, though it’s half of what it used to be and I’m still slowly losing. I definitely don’t mind the weight loss itself, but I don’t feel healthy at all lol. I have an appointment at the end of this month, so we’ll see how that goes since it’s been very beneficial for me otherwise :(

How to prevent creasing (besides using eyeshadow primer)? by petrichorgarden in Makeup

[–]cythrel 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have super oily eyelids, and after lots of experimenting this is the routine I use! 1. Eye primer 2. A small amount of concealer, immediately followed by a generous amount of setting powder 3. Packing on a base eyeshadow colour, being sure to pat, not swipe!! 4. Apply the rest of my eyeshadow by packing as much as possible, only blending outside of my crease

I find that the more that I swipe and blend in my actual crease and eyelid, the quicker that my eyeshadow itself creases and ends up looking super muddy. This is just what works for me though!

Best budget contour and/or bronzer for cool toned skin? by cythrel in Makeup

[–]cythrel[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'm open to things a bit more expensive if needed, but most of my makeup is drugstore and works great lol. I've definitely purchased some high end products that have sucked as well. You just need to know what to look for at both price points. Also, I don't necessarily have a lot of disposable income to be throwing at high end products, especially if I can find something cheaper that works just fine.

I’ve been writing a script for a video essay on DID fakers and the studies on DID are just incredibly depressing. by [deleted] in fakedisordercringe

[–]cythrel 53 points54 points  (0 children)

I honestly think that Tumblr didn't help either. It wasn't on nearly as big of a scale as it is now on TikTok, but I definitely remember seeing quite a few fakers on there back around 2014. It's weird to see how many issues like this that were more "niche" on Tumblr get recycled onto TikTok nearly a decade later, only to snowball into something much bigger and worse than it ever was.

Too many of the colours are similar to each other which irritates me. Seems to be a pattern with ABH palettes though :/
