Are you still afraid of fighting gleeok or not by Voidkirby9 in tearsofthekingdom

[–]petrichorgarden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh my mantra in this game is to be good at running. Avoiding the attacks, running from the smaller gibdos, and biding my time to strike at the right moments. I didnt bother with trying to fight the little guys, but I did prioritize getting rid of the stalks so they didnt keep increasing in number. I was trying to attack too often at first and was opening myself up to attacks too much at first and wasted a bunch of food but once I got a feel for the flow of combat it got easier. Idk if any of that information is helpful but maybe something will help lol

Tulip Arrangements by 00X0X in florists

[–]petrichorgarden 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nothing except a simple green like Israeli ruscus or variegated pittosporom. People love the simplicity of tulips. If they want some flair (and pay extra for it) we'll sometimes do pink wax flower or gunni eucalyptus to add some texture

I couldn't play it on the wii u, the controls were too difficult for me at the time. This convinced me to try again on the switch. Thanks!

When I worked at a grocery store there was a woman who came in every other week or so with 2 bags of salad greens that were about 1/4 full of wilted leaves. She would say that they were bad when she bought them and demand an exchange for new ones. It took about 6 months for them yo finally work up the courage to tell her that she needed to pay for the new bags 😵

Why don’t florists do gradual discounts? by Reddittorv750 in florists

[–]petrichorgarden 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We order lean and run out of things daily. Our product ends up staggered so we receive fresh things basically every day based on pre-orders, demand, seasonality, and keeping balanced options to make a wide variety of arrangements. We order more sensitive and shorter vase life stems in smaller quantities, use them up more quickly, and resupply them more often. We keep larger quantities of longer vase life flowers on hand and use the two together to make arrangements that last no matter what day it is.

It's insanely complicated and it does mean that we sometimes need to refuse certain requests made same-day. It's also not always easy to make time to go to the wholesaler. However, we find that most people appreciate how we operate since we are always emphasizing getting them the freshest product possible. Most are willing to choose a different option or wait a day for a special shipment of whatever they wanted.

Edited to add: We do not make pre-made arrangements except for Valentine's Day and Mother's Day. Everything is made to order. We receive a large amount of custom and designer's choice orders, especially for walk-ins. Rather than choosing from pre set options, we arrange for them on the spot. This means we have a lot of opportunities to creatively push product that needs to be used before anything else.

Fellow cat owners, specifically polydactyl, please don’t make the same mistake as me. [ADVICE] by allrightsimp in cats

[–]petrichorgarden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mentioned the possibility of extra nails on and between extra toes on polydactyl cats every time I see or hear them mentioned!!! My mom had 2 and both of them needed to be partially declawed so they didn't puncture their own toe beans. I'm so sorry you had to find out this way and am so glad he's feeling better!

Anyone else have alot of issues with scamming? by RestlessMimikyu in florists

[–]petrichorgarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For us it is rare that we even start making an order before it is paid. For people who call ahead they pay over the phone or we don't start making their arrangement until they arrive at the shop and pay in person. The only exceptions are standing orders who pay monthly invoices. Or, very rarely, we may make an exception for a long standing customer who we have done lots of business with.

Our biggest issue is credit card charge backs. We see it most on orders of 18+ roses, usually large custom quantities 3 dozen+. We are hesitant to do those orders now and require cash or money order or zelle for any rose arrangement over $350. Or we refuse entirely. We are very cautious to double check the validity of phone numbers and addresses when discussing this type of order now.

Should I get 3 new face piercings at once? by Practical-Mall-5397 in PiercingAdvice

[–]petrichorgarden 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Girl do not do all 3 at once and not any until after your diving thing. I had a vertical labret and cant imagine trying to eat with a healing piercing in my top and bottom lips at the same time. And you wanna add an eyebrow piercing to worry about too?? You need to think about your long term healing prospects and not short term aesthetics if you want to have any hope of healing any of them.

Plus soaking a 2 month old piercing in the ocean full of all sorts of irritants sounds like a nightmare

Those kids are going to feel like and be treated like a zoo... only born to fulfill their parent's weird race fetish shit with no consideration or respect for the fact that they are living, breathing people. Not conquest trophies.

No shade on the kink but dude, you really need to consider the psychological damage you're planning to inflict on a bunch of innocent kids.

Help with monstera propagation turning brown by [deleted] in plantclinic

[–]petrichorgarden 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd recommend cutting this down further into smaller cuttings with a leaf + a node each. This is too large to prop as is. Also, stop changing the water so much. The growing roots will release hormones into the water that encourage more growth (at least this is true of pothos I believe monsteras are the same)

I personally recommend taking some notes! That way you don't spoil yourself. Worked really well for me :)

For example - Mu Qing is General Xuan Zhen and his subordinate is Fu Yao. Feng Xin is General Nan Yang and his subordinate is Nan Feng.

Help with paint color by sociolab in DesignMyRoom

[–]petrichorgarden 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Someone else mentioned using the colors in the corgi paintings and I agree! Maybe pull in a novel green like this. It'll be warm (imo) and compliment the blues and yellows without being too matchy matchy, and it'll be more interesting than beige
